Went in this evening for a cheeky drink with the other half while the the in-​laws were looking after the little one.
Great cosy atmosphere inside that makes you feel right at home. Drinks reasonably priced and paying by card wasn’t a problem (£5 minimum spend — contactless payment would be a welcome improvement).
I’m working on trying out more of the pubs around Woodlesford/​Oulton/​Rothwell, but The Midland is definitely one I’d be happy to come back to again.

Been in a couple of times, decided to try the Sunday lunch offer 2 for £12, very nice, could have done with a bit more but quality above quantity they say, kids eat free with a paying adult and they’ve also opened asleep rate section as a coffee shop and breakfast area.
