had an opointment for a hollywood wax, however when i came out there were so much hair left. so had to book another opointment with someone else to remove them for me… so dissapointed

We should all look after ourselves just a little bit more. Come on now, you know I’m right. Now I could say maybe work out a little bit more or cut down on the vino, but hell what would be the fun in that. What I’m really talking about is some good old hardcore pamper action. I’m telling you the gospel according to me speaks the truth and you can go forth and spread the word at Mint.
It’s a lovely salon on Boar Lane and knows what it is dealing with. We want treatments, we want them now, we want them at times that fit in around our busy lives and we want them at a good price. Hoorah for common sense.
An essential manicure sorts me out though you can have longer sessions. Then it’s a good old body massage because all this writing, eating and drinking is enough to wear out the body and soul. They can even sort out my rampant hair issues (I’d rather not talk about it, it’s too distressing), and no one is any wiser. If I have to move onto the back wax though, I’ll know the hormone treatment has gone too far.
Check out the facials, tints or nail art too. And that’s just for the men! Well maybe not but there is enough on offer to keep the boyf in tow if his rather piddling pain thresh hold is up to it.

Part of a chain of nail and beauty bars this place obviously knows how to make money — lots of seats, lots of technicians and a fast turnover of customers.
I went in with 5 friends in prep for a hen party — we were in leeds for the weekend and they all had their nails done. Generally the file and paint was fine, done very quickly and the technicians were very friendly. They also let us open our champagne and have a drink whilst we were in there.
However, one friend asked for something slightly different (french manicure with a blue polish on the tips) and it wasn’t done very well and one nail had to be redone afterwards. Another friend decided to have some temporary eyelashes added — they last longer than falsh eyelashes you put on yourself. Unfortunately again it wasn’t a very good job — the eyelashes were too big, really long and over the top and not tapered in size at all. Within a few minutes of coming out some of the lashes were falling out and she had to go back to have them re-​glued.
Not a bad place if you want a basic and quick nail paint, £10 for a file and paint. Not sure i’d recommend the eyelashes though!
