Prezzo

Not somewhere I’d go again. I found my food to be oily and somewhat tasteless. On the plus it did have a relaxed atmosphere.

The main plus point of this Prezzo is its location. It’s just opposite to the cinema at The Light. This was really convenient since we’d just watched a good film, and one of our party hadn’t eaten all day having got up late. It’s not a large restaurant, but they had no problem in accommodating our group of 3.
The service was friendly, but oh so slow. And, the restaurant not being that large, we were quite close to the door. The open-​close-​open-​close of the door as staff went in and out (to serve those in the space outside) became a distraction. At one point they propped open the door, only to let in quite a noticeable draught. Also, part way through the meal, they dimmed the lights, which didn’t help since the bulbs started to flicker insanely. After mentioning it, they fixed both the problems, which was great but the whole dining experience was just a bit flat as a result.
The starters were very, very disappointing. They were expensive and really small. A big attempt was made to ‘dress’ the plate, but there’s no disguising the fact that there was more air on the plate than food.
The mains were met with much more approval (when they eventually arrived), and were generally tasty and well cooked. I didn’t have desert, but my friends did, and they looked good, and by all accounts they were.
If I were to go back again, due to the speed of service and value-​for-​money, I think I would not go for a full meal. This place is more of a convenient pizza-​and-​beer venue for when you come out of the cinema feeling hungry, and for that purpose it’s good. It provides an adequate environment to chat about the film and enjoy the company of your friends.

Went to prezzo in the light, seemed to be busy with a bit of a buzz.
We had lobster spaghetti and fusilli Gorgonzola, both were really nice although half way through the meal I found a couple of stickers in my meal.
I mentioned it to the staff who shrugged it off, the manager never came over to apologise, nothing — service was pretty poor.
