Went to Revolution on a saturday night. It was busy but luckily we found a table. We had to wait a little while at the bar before having our drinks. We ordered the rhum bongo which wasnt bad at all! The price was OK aswell. The music was OK but we were not here to dance. I liked that it looked new, and modern. They have an interesting happy hour on week days.

Meh Revolution. This one is a bit shabbier than the one’s i’ve been in but still it’s just usual Revs. Nothing special at all. Not really a fan of chains and Revolution is a great example of what you need in a chain(what you don’t need more like). The cocktails are nothing special(mine was pretty crap compared to what I got in other places), the clientele are chavvy and annoying and it’s pretty overpriced for what the place is. Full of unadventurous and boring people to be honest and boring music. The place has no soul. I wouldn’t call it trendy either. It’s just full of Topman/Topshop clones. Not too bad I suppose, but nothing special. Food isn’t too bad either. One of those places you get dragged in by your mates. You could do worse(TigerTiger). Just don’t believe the hype and order a cocktail. You’ll pay a fortune for crap.

Revolution is a trendy bar, quite often populated with airheads bopping to rubbish music and paying way over the odds for a vodka and coke. Having said that, sometimes the atmosphere is just what you need at the weekend. I love real ale and old man pubs as much as the next guy(really) but sometimes it’s good to experience something different, and I think Revolution bars in general encapsulate that feeling of excitement and random conversation. Pretty expensive drinks, the food isn’t bad(not badly priced either) and always a pretty buzzing atmosphere. Definitely not to everybody’s taste but I do enjoy it once in a while for a change of scene. But you won’t find me there every weekend.

Okay I walked into this place because it was one of the only places one of our under age friends could get in to. Bad start, they let under age people in? Also I literally walked in and walked out. I don’t think its the sub-standard décor or bar that turned me away however. The clientele are something to be desired! This place did nothing for me whatsoever, it seemed to be packed with men full of far too much testosterone, and it was like a breeding ground, absolutely gross. On a weekend The Calls are the place to be however I do not recommend Revolution if you are not the type who’s on the prowl, wanting to get drunk off your face. Hey if that’s what you’re looking for of a weekend then go go go but if you want to get away from outlandishly cheap drinks offers that are fueled to get people as drunk as possible, stay away. A lot of people do like it here, just don’t be fooled by its popularity, it draws a certain crowd and entertains a certain type as well i.e. pink vodka, party anthems and short skirts?!

Revolution is one of those many places I always find beyond acceptable during the day and into the late afternoon, but when the early evening and beyond approaches it goes through a Dr Jeckyl and Mr Hyde transition. Through the day there’s chillout versions of dance music playing lightly, and the low level leather seating offers a chilled and relaxed environment. The menu offers more than the generic burger and fries, and despite it being a bit on the more expensive side of the bar food budget, it’s not half bad. I actually enjoy eating at Revolution. Plus if you’re making your way to Revolution on your dinner hour, there’s a nifty 15 minute promise, that I still can’t decide if it’s comforting or disturbing; if you’re food order isn’t delivered to your table within 15 minutes of ordering, it’s on Revolution — gratis. There are certain conditions like only if you order between 12pm and 3pm, and not applicable if there are more than six people at your table. There’s always a snag, but the intention is good. There’s solace in the time factor, which they wouldn’t offer this ‘deal’ if they couldn’t be sure of delivery to the table within the 15 minute time frame. The Revolution brand has jumped on the reward card bandwagon, with Revolution’s being called the Privilege card; buy the card, it lasts a year, you get rewards, special offers, discounts and whatnot. For some strange reason Revolution has shied away from it’s Russian leanings to a more Italian vibe; there’s a bunch of Italian based incentives surrounding food at the moment, if you’re Italian you get a free pizza, but only if you can prove it, type thing, if you’ve got a baby bump and you’re hankering for a food on a Monday, you’ll get it free when you show off your bump. Also, find a non pregnant friend on a Monday who fancies a burger and it’s buy one get one free. I’ve eaten at a variety of Revolutions, and I find the quality of the food to be consistent in each bar. It’s always been well cooked and nicely presented and this Revolution is no exception.

This Revolution does not do a single thing for me at all. Yes the décor and bar is nice, yes there’s lots of drinks to choose from but it’s also overpriced, crowded and full of the ‘I love me, who do you love?’ business class elite. A few of my friends seem to like it here. A lot. But I’ll give it a miss if the nights heading this way…

Goodness me what an awful place. The one feature this bar has is the variety of nasty coloured and flavoured vodka shots, and other related drinks offers. Other than that there is the awful music, which tries seemingly, to compete with the other musics from Call Lane(I suppose they all do that), disinterested staff and drunk pushy clientele. I was on a night out with friends and managed to wait at least two customers too many at the bar simply because I was at the far end. In that time some guy in a business suit who was sat at the bar began to try and make uninvited conversation with me. Once I’d gotten rid of him and had been served my drink it was spilled by the crowds as I went across to my table! All in all I found Revolution to be a rather annoying and distasteful venue.

Revolution to me relies on one great feature to draw in the crowds. This feature being the huge variety of drink including a huge collection of cocktails and flavored vodka shots(tasty ones being chocolate orange and white chocolate!). It is a very pleasurable way of getting very drunk, very easily! If I take aside the drink choice I have nothing to rave about really. I find other bars on Call Lane a lot classier, more unique and cheaper. A glass of wine can cost you up to £5 which I feel is overpriced. The bar is furnished beautifully however I feel it struggles knowing what it is? Is it a club? It has a D. J and very odd little dance floor. However the bar is massive and has several seating areas therefore… is it a bar? If it is a bar it is too loud to chat to your mates and doesn’t have enough seating area to accommodate for all custom! I find drinking here a little odd, the music a little bland and the clientele a bit too old for myself. If you have the money to splash go and try the flavored shots however, some of them are really, really good and very alcoholic!

This Revs is, because of its location on the Calls, aimed at a slightly older crowd. It isn’t quite as superficially stylish as the one on Millennium Square, and looks a bit worn out in places inside, but this doesn’t stop it from being a worthy place to have a drink while down on the Calls. It’s standard in terms of what it offers — like any other Revolution, there’s plenty of flavoured vodkas and offers on bottles and beers on random nights, and a fairly broad style of music is played. The music is never too loud in here, as it can be in other Revolutions, but there are usually plenty of people dancing, so if that’s your cuppa, you’ll be in good company. A refurbishment would put it back amongst the best bars in this area I’m sure, but for now, it’s like the slightly weary friend that you go to from time to time for familiarity.

THe usual from the revolution chain. As it’s a vodka bar there are plenty of flavours to choose from. A bit tired inside, but still ok because the lights go down later on! Try and look out for the offers and get a Revolution card to get some great savings. Gets a bit chavvy later on so don’t stay too long.

Good bar although slightly too trendy for my liking. Obviously has a decent selection of vodkas and some good beers on tap. Very very busy at the weekends but does a decent bar menu and is alright for a quick lunch or a quiet pint in the day.

Friendly staff, laid back and fun to be in. I don’t like the style of music but that doesn’t put me off drinking there as the music isn’t thrust into your face.

I met my exgirlfriend in here, who I hadn’t seen for about 10 years or something. If it were not for that fact, it wouldn’t be getting 5 stars. I love random events though, so it does. What the hell was I doing in revolution?

This is the old school Revolution. And it looks it too. Bit shabby and tired on the inside, and snubbed by those who prefer the trendy, clinical Norman’s. Used to enjoy a few cocktails here in my student days long ago, but now? Not so much. I still think the nicest of all the Revolutions is the one in Bradford.

Revolution near Millennium Square: Yes good place to start a night out at, maybe not to stay for too long. probably because you have to walk round the houses to get to the toilets and if you’ve had a bit to drink it’s easy to get lost on your way backnot that it’s ever happened to me of course

There are 2 Revs in Leeds — this one is the smaller of the 2 but as it is located right in the middle of Call Lane, its a great place to pop into for a few. There 2 main areas — the bar as you walk in, where you can prop youself up and order the night away, and a bit further in there is a small dancefloor, which is always packed and playing electro. There are some seats around the edges so all in all, it is a decent bar within a nice setting.

I go often as they do a privelage card which i have that gets you great deals on food and drinks and costs £3 for the year. Even if you do not have one of these still lovely place for night out, funky music, good space, outdoor part and amazing vodka shots.
