St Gemma’s Hospice

This is a fairly decent charity shop with a good amount of stock with quite a wide variety. You can find clothing, shoes, books, crockery, toys and bedding among other things and all at bargainous prices! When I had a quick browse recently I saw a variety of good quality clothing to suit a range of ages, with the majority of it women’s wear, but I can’t say anything really jumped out at me. The crockery and home ware section was reasonably large but had none of the kitsch/​vintage crockery gems I usually look out for. However, these things are usually about luck, so as I’ve only been in once I may have just missed some brilliant finds. I’ll definitely be popping in next time I’m in the area.

Another lovely little gem of a charity shop in Oakwood, you can pick up some really nice bits of clothes and everything is in really good condition. The book section here is another great place to browse and pick up a holiday read. The prices are low on everything and you can get some great pieces of jewellery at remarkably low prices.

An area of the city not yet invaded by the trendy Oxfam shops St Gemma’s Hospice is a tiny little charity shop providing cheap goods amongst the more up market little boutique shops dotted along the top half of Roundhay Road, the usual items are available from clothing, to ornaments, children’s toys to books. Worth a little noisy if you are up this way as there may be some gems tossed aside by local lovvies.
