Sunway. The name is such a blatant rip-off of the chain sarnie shop Subway, it’s unreal and very, very cheeky of them. But quite funny… I have often wondered about the quality of the place when walking past and seeing there ridiculously cheap offers such as breakfast for £2.99 with free hot drink. Where must they get their produce to sell for so cheap and with what looks like not much income?(I’ve never seen a queue in there before) One would rather not imagine… anyway, despite this I went in for lunch today with my housemate. Both of us raving mad with hunger and curious as to what it was like. I ordered a chicken, cheese and tomato panini, and my companion a baloney sandwich. *Verdict* — The meat was rubbish quality. My chicken was grey in color and seemed as if it had been cooked a few days before and then left, waiting for me, creepily lurking in the bottom of a plastic tub. The baloney sarnie was OK apparently, but not great, and nothing compared to that of ‘Browns Delights’ round the corner. They were only £2.50 each, but still, I could have made a much nicer version at home. I nearly boosted the star rating to 3* as the guy was nice and gave us both a packet of crisps for free, but then I figured out(being the genius that I am) that it was most likely down to the fact that he needs all the custom he can get and wants us to come back. It’s probably safe to get chips or pitta or something when your belly’s having it’s own version of a late night booty call. But I’d avoid the meat if I were you.
