Called in to The Liquorist after a slap up meal with a few of our party on the hunt for an Espresso Martini. The cocktail happy hour signs outside tempted us in which I guess is the whole point. Inside it looks as though it has been refurbished fairly recently and while it was nicely done the whole ambiance was fairly nondescript. We ordered from the classic happy hour cocktails(which sadly didn’t cover the martini) but as they were only £5 there weren’t too many complaints. The service was very good and the barmaid knew her stuff although the end result for everyone was a cocktail that tasted a lot sweeter(probably too sweet) than boozy. It was starting to fill up at around 6 so I imagine that service would suffer a little towards the end of the night if everyone is still drinking cocktails so I’d recommend getting there early and then moving on elsewhere
