Named after the famous body of water in Yeadon, this pub lies on the outskirts of the little town, in a fairly friendly and easy to reach location. Inside, you will find what is basically one massive room, which, although not being a necessarily bad thing, does make the atmosphere a bit weird. If you want to use designer lingo, it’s open-plan, but really it’s just a well spaced out, roomy pub interior. There are the usual pub aspects — big screen televisions showing sports, a pool table, and a full bar, which includes a couple of real ales. The prices are reasonable but the atmosphere, because of the lay-out, however, is usually a little bit flat — meaning I can only give the Tarn three stars. Having said this, it’s a friendly Yorkshire pub and if you’re in the area, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t stop in for a pint.
