When Tiger Tiger was booked it was booked for 13 people. Strangely we were given possibly the smallest booth possible. When the lady serving us had been once she never came back after that. Thankfully the drinks were reasonable price which made up for the poor service. A complaint was also put in which we have yet to receive an apology for. Not in a rush to go back anytime soon.

My god. Tiger Tiger. Enough to bring fear into my face. It’s well known amongst people in Leeds who are passionate about music and bars as a no-go area. Guaranteed to be full of girls, survivors of the Otley Run, stag and hen parties and young professionals. People will all look the same too. They’ve got all their crap from the new Topshop, Topman and Urban Outfitters of course! Albion Street and Call Lane give the Leeds night-scene a bad reputation! TigerTiger makes me wanna run to Leeds train station and go to York. They could redeem themselves from all the crap and serve a few decent beers and be cheap like Wetherspoons, but no — there are no redeeming factors. The people are rude, full of attitude and the place is just a full on meat-market full of guys who wanna shag, dickheads from Bradford and Huddersfield who wanna see the bright lights of the city, wannabe socialites who wanna work their way up the popularity factor and rowdy stag and hen dos. They’ve given the place a new look it seems but I’ll still avoid the place like the plague. It can’t fool me. Screw this place. I have a better bar in my flat. I’ve only given the place 2 stars because it’s better than the Manchester one, which attracts the toilet stains of Greater Manchester. Also, why does all the bus stops have to be outside this place? I have to wait outside this hole every day :(

We had our works outing during the week and thought we would try the 50% off food and drink at Tiger Tiger. We didnt really know what to expect but the food was cooked to order and was great value. On top of that fantastic service from both Chantelle and Joss who were very attentive throughout our stay. We will be back

Wow — where do I start? Tiger Tiger have just recently had a major refurbishment on the main floor, so there’s no longer a massive expanse of open bar area! It’s now separated into 2 very individual & amazingly themed bars — the Kanaloa bar & The Jewel bar. The Kanaloa bar is a Tiki themed space, with a bar only serving cocktails & spirits — make sure you treat yourself to a sharer cocktail, they’re amazing! The Jewel bar is the stylish sister bar which just simply looks great. The venue has an unfortunately poor reputation based on the type of clientele it generally attracted, but over recent years they’ve gone out of their way to change this — and I think that this refurbishment will definitely be bringing new life to the bar.

This is one of my best pubs in Leeds try to call in at least once a week after 5. oclock as the beer is half price. It has a nice clientele and the barstaff are always friendly to me, I AM62. JIMMYBARNSLEY.

This is probably the sort of place a Taxi Driver would reccomend to a group who are new to Leeds. This is also the sort of place where every hen and stag do in Leeds ends up. If you have a stag/hen night in Leeds Tiger Tiger is where you’re gonna go. The entry fees are an absolute robbery for what you get. Plus all the guys and girls look like Topshop/Topman clones and are drunk as hell wannabe socialites. It’s a sad sight. It’s really chavtastic like most of the clubs on this street. Just another souless meat market in Leeds city centre. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

One of my favourite pubs in Leeds, I have always had a good experience in there and this was one of the pubs I chose to spend my 33rd birthday in and I was no disapointed. It is a nice pub, nice décor, the staff are dressed smartly and the service was very good. There are a couple of screens, so I can keep up to date with the current sporting events. The only downside, is that the pub isn’t well lit and can look a bit dark and I find it a little bit offputting. Overall, it’s worth a visit if I’m in the city!

Now I was never attracted to Tiger Tiger purely because of the impression it gives when you’re on a night out. Walking past Tiger Tiger on a weekend you see a whole line full of girls dressed to impress and it really just doesn’t look like a good scene. However I was once walking past and noticed a lunch offer. They have an array of delicious meals for just £4. Walking in I didn’t expect much, the décor was what you would expect form such a mega club, no sincerity about it whatsoever. I ordered the Caesar Salad and if you look on my profile you will see its one of my favorite things, so if you haven’t met a Caesar salad critic until now, I’m your gal! The Caesar salad was actually very good and for just £4 I left feeling very satisfied. The chicken was succulent and the sauce very tasty. Highly recommended! Best nights to go are Tuesdays for Vodka Island and Thursdays for Thirst where drinks start at just £1. If your a first year student living in Leeds I recommend you try Tiger Tiger as it will offer you an adequate student night out, cheap, good music and okay surroundings.

Gah. Tiger Tiger. Amongst compadres of mine the name itself is enough to induce shivers of distaste. There are so many things to refer to here, but I’ll do my best to stick to the biggies. We had our work Christmas do here in December, and with definite trepidation, I attended. I was mostly concerned about the music and the patrons — it’s really not my style in here as «R&B»(I refer to the modern phrasing, not the old school) is possibly the exact opposite of what I like to reverberate through my ear drums. This trepidation was vindicated by the fact that the place was saturated with hoards of customers, literally packed in like scantily-clad-vest-and-chest baring sardines(«which way’s the beach?!»), a large proportion of whom were both rude and ignorant. We had our own private function room but since three different companies had been squeezed in on the same night this did not help us out when it came to waiting at the bar. I soon found out also that our own private bar had no lager on tap and that bottles of beer were…£4.00! What in the name of all-things-glorious is that about? Sick. So, I decided to wade through the masses and try the main bar. I think more people’s sweat contacted my skin than is humanely safe. Eugh. Having waited patiently after two people pushing in my pint of lager came to something between £4−4.50. *Jaw hit floor* Our buffet was an odd mix of cold meats, potato, quiche and other bits with the bizarre other option of hot rice and a suspect looking beef casserole or green thai curry. Weird. Not-good-weird. I had as much as I could since, for just shy of £40 for the outing, I was going to get my money’s worth. We had one measly complimentary glass of champagne to accompany our buffet. For whatever reason our company was situated in the entrance room where there weren’t even proper tables to sit at with our food so I ended up hunched over my plate on a sort of poof-type-seat. Whole thing was naff. Prices — ridiculous. Staff — not bothered. Food — meh. Patrons — gah! Don’t think I’ll be back.

Tiger Tiger Tuesdays are the place to be for students. WIth a few different rooms playing anything from RnB, Dance and Cheese, theres something to suit most music tastes. If, unlike me, you are into hardcore heavy rock then this is not the place for you. Drinks can still be pricey even though it is student night, a round of two shots and two glasses of rose cost me £16 which is most definitely not a student price! Tiger Tiger may seem quiet at the start of the night but come midnight it is absolutely heaving. There is only one complaint I have about Tiger Tiger and that’s the state of my shoes when I leave… somehow they are always, always covered in mud! My friends and I have come to know this as having Tiger Feet… For a good night with a fun atmosphere and plenty of choice, try Tiger Tiger on a Tuesday!

It’s fair to say I have never really taken to Tiger Tiger. Nevertheless my housemate works there, and my friends all love it on a Tuesday so have been a few times with the girls! Tuesday night is student night with 3 rooms open including the disco room which plays some older chart hits as well as lots of Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson(awesome if you can moonwalk!) On other nights of the week when drink promotions are not on, I find Tiger Tiger a little confusing. It is pricey and serves up 100’s of cocktails(so it is a trendy bar), there is a disco room and dance floor(is it a nightclub?), there is seating in the main area and food menu(is it a trendy restaurant), it has live acts there once a month(is it a gig venue!) Despite having so many avenues, I feel Tiger Tiger is best in the evening as a nightclub and bar. Drink are generally very expensive(apart from Tuesday — £1.50 spirit and mixer) and a round can be very pricey in comparison to some of the more student based nightclubs! The custom is a little more sophisticated than that of Oceana with all the women in gorgeous on trend body-con dresses and platforms and lads in a shirt and good shoes! The décor is also classier than some clubs so if you have nice tastes for good décor and good cocktails this maybe the place for you!

I just thought I’d take time out to big up Tiger Tiger. I booked the restaurant for my birthday and all my snobby friends were complaining about my choice. Well they ate their words, as well as all the food that was put in front of them. I think Tiger Tiger takes a bit of stick but the service in the restaurant was brill, food was good and the bill was even better; everything was half price!

I only recently discovered the joys of Tiger Tiger despite the fact that it has laid next to Bar Risa for years. Open from 12 until 12 most days, it provides a laid-back restaurant lounge during the day and a lively bar/club scene in the evenings. A popular place with young professionals, it is guaranteed to be busy most nights of the week, especially Tuesday, which is student night. Drinks on offer to the student population of Leeds include double vodkas for as little as £1.50, and at these sort of prices, you can be sure of a good night. On weekends, drinks can be a fair bit more expensive, sometimes even around £6 for doubles and £3.50 for bottles, but the impressively eclectic mix of music, attractive people and a stylish setting means that Tiger rarely fails to deliver in terms of a good night out.

NB this is not on Albion St in Morley, it is on Albion St in the city centre I’ve never been here in the evening, but I really like coming for lunch. The lunchtime menu is cheap, and the food is really good. The drinks can be pricey depending on what you order, but there’s a huge selection. The toilets are the best thing ever — they’re shaped like a tiger paw!

This is an odd club to me. It looks good on paper and when it’s empty the décor and setup are trendy and well thought out. But for some reason only a certain type of clientelle seem to be attracted to it, over 40 and a little bit desperate or ‘interested’. My friends and I have been in here a couple of times in the past, always willing to give it a go and we have had a good time, we found some cheesey pop to boogy too and had some fun but were continually bothered by older blokes that were trying it on. Another time my friend hired the back room area with the morrocan feel to it, we had a little buffet supper and plenty of cocktails… all lovely. The staff were great and we all really enjoyed the chill out factor to this part of the bar, as well as the VIP feel to the ‘private party’ notice! It’s quite a big venue too, with more than one bar, and a few dancefloors catering to different musical genres. There’s a bit for everyone here, if you get left alone enough to enjoy it!

Tiger Tiger serves cheap food tasty but the drinks are fairly expensive. Tiger Tiger is good for an early evening drink with a bit of music and some atmosphere but the price are quite expensive. It doesn’t get too busy early on too which is quite nice. There quite a few of good quality drinks which is probably why it is a bit expensive. The food at Tiger Tiger is really good and is brilliant value if there is an offer on at the time(usually you’ll need a voucher and is likely to be either 50% off or 2 for 1). The attention to detail to the food is cool too, e.g. the fish and chips is wrapped in newspaper.

Not a bad place to start your night off but can be quite expensive. Funky music and a nice bar layout to put you in the right mood for a cracking night out. Just over the road from Oceana which is a pretty good club to follow it up with. Tiger Tiger are always advertising cheap food through the day time(such as food and a drink for around £3.50 on dinner times). I’ve not had chance to try it yet but it seems like a good deal to me.

Great place to meet for drinks as a pre night out. Or a great place to stay for drinks for a night out. Full of trandy people woth out being to far from the normal people of this owrld. A little expensive but worth the money for the atmosphere. A few of the staff were a little rude, but all in all friendly. Try the raspberry vodka and lemonade. You’ll be hooked!

A staple for any work night out, simply because it’s big enough to fit everyone in, has a happy hour, and is dead easy to find. The food isn’t bad either, with themed sharing platters for under a tenner. The drinks are pretty hefty price-wise, and the service at the bar is on the poor side. But they give you your change in a little silver saucer, and that means you’re super important. Oh yes. On the whole, a good place if you want to hire a room out, but not really if you’re on a date or want to impress someone.
