Don’t be misled by the name folks, they don’t just do toast at Toast. I fancied some breakfast on a Saturday morning & I’d been told Toast was good. I’m grateful that my source was on point! My breakfast was really good. I had the usual egg, bacon, sausage and the rest. I’m fussy about my eggs. I like them well cooked but not burnt, no runny white please. It was perfect. What was even more fabulous about Toast was the atmosphere and the music! They were playing some lovely old school reggae that made me smile. Can’t wait to get back there!

Oh wow, I can’t believe I’m the first person to rate Toast bar! I’ll start with the reason that it’s only a 4 star for me, but I’ll state that this is subjective to what individuals like. They show a lot of football, and when this is on it seems to dominate the venue — and when the place is really busy, as it often is with the after work crowds, this feels to have an impact on the atmosphere. So, now onto all the fantastic things about Toast! Although listed as a negative, depending on what kind of evening you’re after & the people you’re out with, the busy after work could be just the session you want! They have a large area outside for smokers(I’m not one), but it’s covered & also heated so if like me you like to spend some time outside just chatting then this is ideal. They do a small range of drinks at a very reasonable price, with me paying £2.75 a pint for Becks on my last visit, and I think it’s the same for house spirits/mixer and house wine. I haven’t tried the food here, but I have heard that they do brilliant breakfasts. so perhaps someone else can confirm!
