Watches R Us

I was really excited at the prospect of a dedicated watch shop. The title didn’t instil any confidence in the quality, Watches R Us has lame written all over it. The sign’s pretty lame too — see picture for proof of this. When you’re passing yourself off as a top quality watch seller, boasting brands like DKNY and Police and Diesel and Fossil etc etc, you look for a quality about the place, and it just looks a bit amateur. When I went in I was looking for a Marc Ecko watch, don’t ask, I was all about the super bling in a not so understated way, and as it said it was a supplier of such blingtastic watches I went in, when looking around the glass cabinets for my special bling, I couldn’t see any, so I asked the bloke texting, who I deduced worked there due to his position behind the till if they had any, and he said nope, they don’t stock them, weren’t likely to and couldn’t remember if they ever had. What the hell?
Wandering around the shop you do notice there are some good quality watches about the place, all the brands are of a good quality, there’s also some less familiar brands dotted about the place, and with sales the items are reasonable, but outside of this, they don’t quite manage to undercut most of the larger chains knocking around. Still undecided as to how I feel about this place. This would be where half stars would be useful.
