It’s not just about the music across West Yorkshire’s airwaves. Indeed, we are blessed with many great sporting teams with followers who can’t always get to the games live. So it’s more than useful having a radio station based at one of the biggest teams in the area, Leeds United.
Yorkshire Radio brings you ²⁴⁄₇ Leeds. You’ll be able to get in depth interviews and quirky features that some of the other stations simply don’t have. That’s not to say they are all great, because they’re not but it does give you a little more depth than it’s fellow commercial rivals.
There is also your usual music, stuff about the cinema and local events and more than a smattering of the public having their say. It’s probably only for the keen Leeds United supporter, if you don’t like football then there are much better alternatives out there. However, if you do it’s worth a punt, especially on match days.
Yorkshire radio have also secured a deal to cover the rugby league, so it’s now Leeds United and Leeds Rhinos all the way. Good radio for sport lovers.
