The food is pretty good, the staff is nice, the prices appropriate and the selection pretty big for such a small place. Perfect if you’re craving something savoury at 3 a.m.

This used to be the best place for a kebab and even on some national award for the best in the country. Gone right down hill recently. Last one I had was absolutely rubbish. No salad at all except a bit of lettuce. Asked for garlic and chili sauce and I just got chilli. Supposed to be a super kebab but was tiny and didn’t even fill me. Never ordering from here again.

Ordered Chicken Tikka Curry, the pieces were so huge I thought they forget to mince the chicken & the curry was«whatever». Garlic naan was ok, they had bits of garlic as big as my little finger nail stuck. Balti King & Lahore’s garlic naan are killer. Never ordering from here again.

This greasy fast food/take-away place is perfectly located in Hyde Park for all of the lazy students that probably are too drunk when they visit to realise they threw their empty food packaging into someone else’s garden. This is the late-night scene of the neon-lit Zufli’s. It is open earlier in the day/evening when they sell the same food but to a more sober crowd. I must admit that ‘Fat Tony’s’ pizza deals are pretty good but apart from this they offer kebabs and snacks such as samosas and bahji’s.

It’s a Saturday night, last nights shenanigans are still lingering and your energy levels are low. Wrapped in a duvet watching something light enough for your fragile mind to giggle at. You could probably do with some healthy food… hmm…but that would mean leaving the house to go to the shop. Hmm… hang on… what’s that Zulfi’s? You can cook me a gorgeous chicken kebab in naan bread? AND bring it to my house? For less than a fiver? Oh, well, if you insist. We all know that when it is winter and you’re in need of some comfort food to cushion last nights blow, fast food just has to be done. They sell a wide range of fast food for a very decent price which is not too greasy, just enough to satisfy that urge, and also offer free delivery for orders of over £6. So you can curl up in front of a silly indulgent film and recover with a full tummy. Thank you Zulfi’s!

After years of denying that Zulfis and Fat Tony’s were pretty much the same thing in next door shops, sharing a kitchen round the back, they merged. The £3(for what is esentially a pretty good) pizza deal from Fat Tony’s is still in place in Zulfi’s, but nothing else has changed. In the lit counter are displays of chicken tikka, onion bahji’s, pakoras, samosas etc, that you choose and they cook while you wait. As a takeaway, I struggle to think of take-away food that Zulfi’s does not do. They have a full curry menu, burgers, fried chicken, kebabs and pizza. The food is alright, nothing to write home about, but the good prices, friendly staff(willing to have a joke with any intoxicated student stumbling in at 4am) and ideal location-right next to Jacksons and the cash point– keep people coming back for more.
