very crowed and filthy. Floors sticky and bar staff disinterested. Rough crowd.

The Turkey Café is located near to the train station and the high street of Leicester city centre making them ideal for commuters and city slickers. They are renowned in the city area for their incredible cocktails, they take a while to make, which is always a bonus as you know you will be gainign quality. The price is roughly five pounds which i think is reasonable for what you get. On the downside the meas the place offers are pretty pricey and you get very little, the vegetarian options are particularly dismal i wouldn’t purchase any fod again i don’ think. The staff are the places major plus point there lovely, helpful and full of great advice!

Having been coming to this place for a few years now, I can safely say this is one of the best little bars in Leicester. The décor is 60s retro cool, the soundtrack is varied but always interesting and doesn’t impose on your conversation, the ambience is chilled and the food is great. Oh, and the Umbango(note the ‘a’ there) cocktail has to be tried at least once. With happy hour during the week giving you £2.50 cocktails and discounts for students, it’s no wonder this is the place to go for those in the know.

Another one of Leicester’s more quirky bars. The impressive outside design of the Turkey Café stands out a mile. They have a decent choice in drinks, some unusual décor and makes up for the increase of chain bars in the city centre. They also tend to have a DJ most nights playing slightly more eclectic tracks — which makes a change from the usual nonsense you would get in Walkabout near by. The cocktails are also good and do offers for students. I think they have also started to do take away hot drinks — probably because a massive coffee republic has opened next door. Shame.

As a student, there is a lot of places where you can go to just relax. This is the perfect place. As it is a bit pricy. Not many students come here and you can socialise more with the local people. The cocktails are amazing. The bar staff really know what they are doing. Even to just come and sit and do a bit of work. This place is really good. I try to come here as often as I can. Bring a friend or two and just chill out. The food here pretty good also. But I do not usually eat here as it is a bit too pricy.

This is a very cool little bar, tucked away there — careful you don’t miss it! I love it for the cool and professional staff, chilled atmosphere and fab cocktails. It’s a brilliant place to do a bit of people watching and they have a great food menu. It’s generally light and airy, a lovely place to while away a spare afternoon!

The Turkey Café, is a little unexpected gem in the city centre. We went there on the spare of the moment and was greeted by a lovely atmosphere and quick food service. The food is gourmet burgers and pasta dishes and fantastic value for money if you go before 6pm. Its happy hour and with drink it only came to £13 — £17 for two. I must say they make the best Margareta I have ever had and the G&T likewise. Stunning
