We ate on a thursday night, had not booked but got a table very close to the noisy kitchen. The menu is very wide — too wide probably — there is a lot of choice of eclectic dishes from trad English to Mexican and Greek. Unfortunately they are trying to do too much and not really pulling it off. Seafood starter was overseasoned and not very intersting, my Lamb main course was partly raw — really uncooked and I like rare, the sauce was claggy and could have been packet and the whole presentation was sloppy. My Wife ate a steak which was competant but lacking in juice and flavour. Overall a bit of a disappointment really. — £43 not too bad but did not really feel the value.

We had arranged to meet friends at Leicester Forest East Services and prior to setting off I had selected this and another two to stop of and eat. When we arrived they where quiet busy and explained that we would have to wait for a table. We where not in a rush so we didn’t mind. It was about an hour or so later that we finally got a table(not that we where complaining the beer was flowing well and I wasn’t driving) and my oh my was it worth waiting for? You know when you expect a Sunday dinner to be good?, after all it’s not hard to make a cock up of it is it, well this was far in excess of what we expected it was absolutely bloody lovely and if I lived near there I would make it a regular haunt. The staff was pleasant ad friendly and did keep us aware of the wait we had in front of us. So if you live near here and haven’t tried it I would recommend here.
