This comedy club is pretty average it depends on who the comendians are on what type of night you have some comedians do cross the line a little with their jokes and I personally dont find jokes about child abuse funny so did complain and did recieve a letter of apology. food is ok for what it is and prices are reasonable. alcholol prices are pretty good for wine and some good deals on beers. disco after the acts is nice if you want to stay for a dance.

It really depends who you get on the bill as to whether you actually enjoy your night here, as the rest of the set-up hasn’t got much going for it. It’s hugely small for the amount of tables they pack in every week, so beware of spilling your overpriced Chardonnay over somebody’s head as you squeeze by. And the food is pretty dire, especially if you’re vegetarian(vegetable lasagna heated up in a microwave? Yawn). And the ticket price is extortionate, given there’s absolutely no freebies on offer with it. Have to say, though, it is worth filling in your card to get the free bubbly — I won it once, which was a nice addition to an otherwise underwhelming night.

I have had a great comedy evening at this venue. Its situated in the heart of town, but as its a small door, climb the stiars and open out venue it can be hard to spot from the roadside. The comedians I have seen are standard topical. risky /edgy modern day stuff and they come out fast and furious so on comedy nights 3 hours of continual laughter can be xpected I have been when there has been a disco after the comedy and this has been good entertainment too. I love the comedy club and think this is one of the better ones. I havent eaten there so cant comment on the chicken in a basket style menu

Can’t say I really like this place. It’s overpriced ticketwise(this isn’t London) and the acts are generally not hugely funny. As you can guess I’ve stopped going now. The food and drink prices are also extortionate, especially when you consider the venue is ‘partnered’ with the cheap and cheerful Walkabout downstairs. Like any self respecting chain venue, once you’re in Jongleurs you could pretty much be anywhere in the country, it looks the same except for the acts aren’t usually that great. No real big names to speak of that I’ve noticed on the bill in the last couple of months. Save your money and go somewhere good instead. Preferably in another city if its comedy you’re after.
