If you say Neighbourhood Watch I still get these pictures but I write to implore you to dispel such images and look upon your local Neighbourhood Watch scheme with fondness!
I recently received a newsletter — the first Dings NW newsletter in fact — which informed me of a number of community projects running in my area, a number of which were youth focused, and to inform me that a full time ‘outreach’ worked had recently been appointed. I was also asked whether I wanted to donate a 50 pence contribution to fund Neighbourhood Watch signs to be put up in the area. 50p seemed like quite an insignificant amount, but then, if every household in the street donated the grand sum I suppose it would amount to a fair deal!
For a vastly re-​developing area I think it’s a real good idea to remember to look out for your neighbour!
