My personal choice when looking to watch live sport in Leicester, with cheap drinks offers and food available during the day if you’re planning on staying a while. Sometimes people will go here if they don’t fancy Soar Point or they need somewhere to park. I have also always been able to get a seat for the footie here as they have maybe 20 TVs. They also have a Wii you can play on the big screen! Occasionally doing live music, charity events etc. and the staff are always friendly to you. Never too much queueing at the bar if you time it right!

Definitely one for the students. The bear is cheap and the atmosphere is one of relax and take your time
Its located in student town not far from de montfort uni and the other colleges, and behind it has a large park area and in front a canal
Service is ok, but I wouldnt make a special effort to go there to be honest

The Quay is located near DeMontfort University in Leicester and is pretty popular with students. It does your general cheap beers and offers daily hence the popularity with the students. The pub serve food which is the area i had a particularly bad experience. I ordered a wrap and chips and spent a god thirty five to forty minutes waiting, upon which time i was only handed my wrap. I went to ask where my chips were and was basically accused of not ordering them by the bar staff. A further twenty minutes later my chips were given to me and the snide comment of ‘here’s your free chips’ were stated to me. Not impressed one single bit, i will never venture there ever again!
