Rude, Rude, Rude.
To be honest the food isn’t that bad, but I’m just not accustomed to having a hand put in front of my face to shut me up.
We arrived at 2.10 pm and was told by a completely disinterested and bored waitress «we close at 3»… «OK» I said «is that the Restaurant that closes at 3 or the kitchen?» «You leave at 3» we were told as we were ushered to the door as she obviously did not want to work.
So… fairly good food, the worst service I’ve had outside of France!
On the upside if you get the right staff it can be first class! A bit like roulette really!

I have to say manolys has hit the bottom,
the staff were rude and uncaring on my visit we waite forever for out cold food,
iv lived in thailand and i have to say that the food is a let down having also tried Rak chang i can tell you there is no contest

After going to this place for over 10 years we were shocked when it reopened. The portions were smaller the service was poor. We have decided that for the cost — which is tip top — its not worth the money so we are not going there anymore. Manoly — think again!

After a number of visits over the years we were delighted to hear the resturant was expanding its size this year. We went along with 2 friends and although food was good service was apalling they have 1 lady who has been there ages who seems to know what she’s doing. The rest do not seem to understand English very well. But we were prepared to give it one more go as every one can have a bad night. Last night we went with the same couple. It took 20 minutes to get a drink we wanted a spirit and coke we asked for fresh coke from a tin 3 glasses came up of flat coke we asked again and a hot i mean hot can came up. We asked for some prawn crackers 3 times with a sauce another 20 mins crackers but no sauce, we struggled to give them our order the food once again was good not up to their usual standard (the order was wrong) but service still apalling we asked for the bill and gave up waitingin the end we went up to the till to join a fed up customer who had been waiting an hour for a takeaway. For us thats it 1 bad experience we can live with but 2 sorry there are too many resturants in the area who want to serve and please. Tudor House near Thames drive will now be getting our thai money. Sorry Manoly’s Food is good service the worst if you have 3 hours and do not care about service fine but we and our friends will not be gracing your resturant any more.

Situated in the heart of Leigh this restaurant not only provides such a very high standard compared with other top London restaurants but what makes the difference between «Manoly‘s Thai restaurant «& other top restaurants… is the way you are made to feel so very welcome & so special !!! This restaurant in my opinion is not only the best Thai restaurant in Leigh also throughout the whole of Essex !!! Top marks goes to «Manoly‘s Thai restaurant » !!! Since the refit this restaurant has definately retained all of its very high original Thai authenticty !!! The restaurant, food & people are wow !!! food is out of this world !!! people are so welcoming !!! every customer is catered for & made so very special… Top marks for this brilliant restaurant !!!

Manoly was wonderful before it’s refit, and I can’t wait to go back if the food and service are as good as they were before.
Staff are friendly and fun, and food is delivered promptly. Portions are enormous, which helps to make up for the fact it’s not cheap!
Highlights for me include the refreshing soup with zesty lemongrass, and the tempura vegetables. Starters here are particularly excellent. I’ll be posting again once I’ve seen the new interior.

Food here is to die for! I’ve never had vegetable tempura that is quite as light and tasty.
Décor is nice with being OTT. Set menus are good value. Best of all if you’re new to Thai or people in your group are you can simply ask them to bring a selection of goodies and share them.
The only downside is that, due to their popularity, tables are often booked twice in an evening. Went here once for a romantic meal and fella was warned when booking for 8pm that we could only have table til 10. Was still a bit of a shock to find that the bill was put on our table at 9.40 without our requesting it!

This is a great Thai restaurant in the heart of Leigh.
The restaurant is small, tastefully decorated and the service is good. The food is always great and the set menus are really good value.
The restaurant doesn’t lend itself to large groups, but for a quiet dinner with a friend or partner I would highly recommend it.
They also do take away.
