Yes yes Nando’s is the same everywhere, but this is the Nando’s where I discovered the ‘Supergrain’ side option — amazing! I sound surprised because I am, I never had Nando’s down as a place to eat healthy! It looks and tastes really healthy and is full of grains like Quinoa and topped with a lovely Avocado based dressing. Now of course I had this alongside my usual staple Chicken Butterfly and Peri-peri Chips, you can now see why I’m happy there is a healthy side to choose! My girlfriend had the Quinoa salad with extra chicken which looked fantastic! Worth noting you get a 20% NHS discount with your NHS card(my girlfriend works for the NHS) — I knew there was a reason I picked her: D

Great place and we eat here every week. They need to reward us regulars more as we are both loyal customers and bring in friends and family to the establishment.

About a year has passed since I last visited a Nando’s so I was well overdue a fix. This particular branch in Leigh is quite new, on a site that also has Tesco, Lidl, Frankie & Benny’s and a cinema. Usual thought has gone into the décor to give it a slightly Mozambican feel. For nicer summer days there’s the benefit of outdoor seating at the rear, by the canal side. A few changes to the menu have occurred since my last visit so we tried something new. I had a butterfly chicken breast burger and my friend had the boneless chicken thigh burger. Both were excellent, really couldn’t find any faults with them at all. In the past I considered some of Nando’s portion control to be really quite stingy but that seems to have passed now. Our portions were generous and filling. However the price has gone up too, as it cost over £30 for 2 mains(with 2 sides each) and 2 drinks.
