With Pancake day only being once a year, where do you go to get your fix the other 364 days of the year? The Pear Tree Creperie is a quaint little eatery a few miles from Lichfield town centre and a perfect weekend treat. Having not had breakfast that day we decided to go all out and have not one but two crepes; a savoury and of course a sweet. Gammon, cheese and pineapple was my first choice followed by pear, ice-cream and walnuts. Although the service was perhaps a little lapse with the waitresses loitering and not paying that much attention to people, the food was fantastic and much more filling than I thought. If you’re looking for somewhere to take your mom, gran or just a little treat for you and your partner, The Pear Tree is well worth a visit. Just make sure you book as it can get incredibly busy!

FIVESTARS!!! I get to go here usually for a Birthday Lunch and it’s a lovely place to have a treat and what I call a «ladies who lunch» venue. Provincial French inspired décor with in a double level barn. Book ahead as it’s popular and you might find yourself without a table. I normally have two crepes. One savoury and then one sweet. It’s a bit of a drive down the A38 and if you are going from Birmingham you will have to go up to the next island and double back on yourself. How am I the only Unilocaler to have reviews this? You really must try it! Oh and there was very little in the way of a phone signal! So it’s a challenge to check in.

Wow — french onion soup, followed by a savoury galette with a side salad with homemade salad dressing, a sweet crêpe for desert and a soft drink for under £15! This place is fab, we went there for valentines day last year and will do the same this year, they don’t hike the prices up just because it’s Valentines and they don’t try to herd you in and out quickly either. Our table was booked for 7pm and we stayed there all night and drank Brittany cider. The food is delicious, the profiterole crêpe is an absolute must and you can buy a bottle of their lovely salad dressing to take home with you as well.
