We visited last night and walked out after trying the ‘hot’ starter! It was stone cold, sad to say. There was also a very limited choice of both starter and main dishes for an evening menu. I am struggling to give this place even 1 star. When we quietly complained, one of the waiters thought it was funny and smirked throughout. Then they mentioned the heating cabinet had apparently been faulty. There will be people who think this place is great and those who don’t. If you haven’t been before think twice. Would you chance food poisoning? We moved onto YoYo Beijing which was much better.

Great place at affordable price! Eat before 6/6:30 and it’s £5.95. Good variety of food and desserts. Nice layout, a bit cramped if at full capacity but it isn’t usually till prime time. Nice staff and great customer service too.

A small selection of a Salad bar, Starters, Chinese, Malaysian and Thai food to choose from. Thought the food was ok and the staff where pleasant enough. Friday night is Sushi night.

Great Restaurant! If you are going to the laughing buddha you can choose from something off the menu which has a lot of variety or pay for the buffet. The buffet is a way to try all the different types of food they sell there in one meal. also if you have room you can have a dessert and they serve a few different types of puddings. also it’s CHEAP

Used this restaurant a few times now, when it first opened it was quite a good buffet style restaurant but went there yesterday 1÷12÷2009 and to be quite frank it was very poor the décor is getting very jaded the food was bland with not a lot of choice and the fried dishes which were in batter were burnt. The price is normally £5.95 for the buffet but when we walked in there was a sign saying there would be a £1.00 surcharge for the Christmas buffet but when we went to get our food there was nothing different, so on paying the bill I asked as to why there was a extra £1.00 charge and I was told because its Christmas. Won’t be going back. Yoyo Beijing is much better

After visiting this resturant I found staff to be unhelpful and rude. I have food allergies and was assured when I phoned up in advance that there was a selection of items I could eat. But when I got there the staff told me I could eat lettice and plain rice. Ther staff were very rude about this. If they had told me the situation when I phoned in advance there would not have been a problem. The problem is I am allergic to wheat and was told that everything had wheat in it. Even items which normally are made without. It makes me wonder what exactly is in the food.

Excellent value for money and a wide range of dishes, especially when compared to when it first opened. The ‘flaming desserts’, a mix of strawberries, bananas, melon and kiwi fruit flambeed in front of you with a splash of brandy and golden syrup, is served on Wednesdays, it’s a pity it is not every day. Also available Wednesday is the Teppenyaki chef: pick your own raw ingredients such as peppers, mushrooms, noodles, and your choice of meat, and the talented chef will cook it in front of you with a sauce of your choosing. I like the Teriyaki Chicken, which is really tender, and the chef is amazing to watch. If you do miss out on Wednesdays there is still a lovely array of desserts including ice cream, various cakes, and most importantly, a chocolate fountain, which seems to have become a mainstay of Chinese buffet restaurants in recent months. The drinks are pricey, however, and the cocktail menu, whilst expensive, is worth a look, despite being a little short. Despite this, the food prices and range more than make up for it; I have been known to attend just for the duck and pancakes alone!

Love love love the Laughing Buddah! I would give this 5 stars but I think the place is a little small and a little dark for my liking. I don’t like when I pull my chair our and I bump into someone else’s chair. Situated just off the High Street in Lincoln, The Laughing Buddah is easy to find and easy to reach with children. The Prices are acceptable for any all you can eat buffet and the food is delicious! They also have loyalty cards if you get 6 stamps you get either a drink or something for free. Great for students!
