Waterside Shopping Centre

This is just a typical, generic shopping ‘mall’ set in the centre of Lincoln. The last time I visited Lincoln I did briefly have a look round to see if there was anything different from the norm and sadly this was not the case. It doesn’t matter what town or city that you visit if it has a shopping mall they all tend to have the same big chain stores in that don’t really offer anything exciting or different. This one is just like that. The early learning centre shop is quite large but badly laid out and difficult to navigate with a buggy. There are a plethora of mobile phone shops. There are also quite a few vacant shops, maybe a sign that some companies are realising that centres like this don’t attract people who want to spend money. I often find when I visit that there are a lot of youths hanging around not spending money but getting in everybody’s way. The food court on the top floor is pretty poor. I am firmly in favour of independent shops because they generally offer better quality service and individual items but there is a need for some of the larger chain stores however the best ones in Lincoln are not in this centre having moved or opened up in various other locations! I tend to avoid using this centre if I can which is a shame because the location is fantastic.

This shopping center vary rarely gets a visit from me. I dont have much need for the shops it has inside it. Although there have been many empty units in the center for some time, It has recently seen more shops open in the center.
There is a large security team for such a small center who seem to think that they are gods and do nothing other than stand in the enterance flirting with ladies.
Primark, ELC, Top shop, New look, 3, O2, la senza, bay, clintons and the gift company are just a few of the shops in here. The center itself is bright and clean, nicely decorated. I did notice they had their christmas decorations up far too long.
The enterance from the high street can be very slippy when wet. Having almost fallen on my bum several times I know this from experience.

This modern shopping centre may not be very large but it does offer a wide array of retailers. These include Superdrug, O2 and Specsavers. It also boasts a food court on the top floor.

This is a fair sized shopping centre.
Right at the top there is Burger King, toilets and another little café.
Next one down there is Adams, ELC, O2 Shop, 3 Shop, Vodafone, and a few other shops and on the bottom there is New Look, Primark, Sweet shop, Superdrug and a few other little shops
They dont have the best of shops in there but it is handy to go in sometimes if its raining or you need a couple of shops instead of trapsing across the high st to different ends of town to get to the other shops of the same company in the city centre.
It is a nice clean spacious shopping centre.
