Batter Sea Fish Bar

It’s not often that a place totally exceeds your expectations, but Batter Sea Fish Bar managed it for me. The only clue from the unassuming exterior were the small signs informing they have been ranked as one of the top 50 fish and chip shops in the UK.
Step inside and you will find a clean and modern shop set out in standard chip shop layout, the real surprise is in the menu. The standard chip shop favourites are there, but along with lots of other home made additions I didn’t expect. There are also poached fish and gluten free options available as well as a range of vegetarian choices.
To top it all off the quality of the food is consistently really good and there is service with a smile. My favourite chippy anywhere.
