must admit food was lovely but only got one star on councils Scores on the doors rating stating that Major improvement in kitchen is needed, makes you wonder what customer can’t see, won’t be back I’m afraid

This a cozy wee ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ restaurant. In fact, I must have driven past it easily hundreds of times before I noticed it! Being a huge fan of Indian food, I had tried all the Indians in Lisburn(or at least I thought I had!) So we booked ourselves in for a meal in the Himalaya. I had never heard ant reports about it, or knew of anyone else who had been, so we went along with an open mind. The restaurant is small inside, but it wasn’t overly packed, and as such, we were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in, shown to our seats, and had our drinks orders taken while we were given our menus. As we had never been before, we decided to pay it safe and go for the usual, Chicken Tikka Masala for me, and Chicken Korma for my other half. The food came quickly, and for me, it tasted absolutely fantastic. My parter said his korma was a bit spicier than he would have liked, but it tasted fine to me! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal in the Himalaya, and now I know about it, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

Cozy Indian with very good food. Has a quiet atmosphere, but is family friendly. The service is quick and efficient. They also do take-away. I love it.
