I received a Mother’s Day flower arrangement from my son today from this shop. They were the worst flowers I have ever received! Needless to say I was bitterly disappointed. I contacted the shop with photos of the flowers as some of them were already half dead. They said they would send their driver to «replace the dead ones». I could hardly believe my ears, they were not offering a fresh bouquet, which any reputable company would have done only to replace a few! What a penny pinching attitude. The flowers themselves looked like they’d been picked from a field. I am so furious with this shop’s attitude and the fact that it ruined Mothers. day for me which they obviously didn’t care about. Beware, do not buy flowers from this shop unless you want to be ripped off.

Alexandra’s is a strange sort of place. On one side of the shop, it looks like a typical small local florist, offering a modest selection of pretty flower arrangements at reasonable prices. However, the other side of the shop is somewhat different as it sells various confectioneries from numerous jars of sweets on the shelves behind the till. The set up reminds me a bit of that sweet shop at the start of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Y’know, the little one before all the short brown men start popping up singing and dancing. The shop itself is very charming as it offers a variety of bits and bobs, including small children’s toys, as well as having a small area at the back of the shop where hot drinks can be purchased and drank in a peaceful, friendly environment. An interesting, fascinating place to visit.
