Let me start off by saying, I have had only one experience in Aloha. It involved pole dancing, asking the DJ to play some Richie Kavanagh(look him up), having a quick game of kiss chase, the barman giving us free orange juice because our extra strong Zombie cocktails were a bit too strong, running around the cushy sofas pretending the floor was lava and finally, my travelling companion getting us kicked out for stealing a bar stool. It is some craic! The bar staff are lovely. They’re friendly and happy and groovy. Even the doorman is a bundle of laughs. The drinks menu is extensive and exotic. With seriously generous measures. And the music? Yeah. None of the current radio favourites are playing here. But, that works in the club’s favour. You’ll feel instantly cool walking down the steps into this treasure chest of tikki fun. You’ll be greeted by funky décor that is Hawaiin, hip and all over the place… Enjoy the madness!

Aloha… is arguably the best way of greeting in any language. It just makes you smile does it not. Brilliant!!! Now I am and will always be a big fan of Tiki bars. Every city should have one. They are just fantabulous, the atmosphere the music really does make you feel as if you are in Hawaii. Why is it that the bar staff at every tikki bar are just ALWAYS in a great mood!!! It is just refreshing to see that, that energy just resonates across the venue if being projected by all members of staff. It is the laid happy go lucky. The ticks are aplenty in every box that you may have for a bar. The drinks are to suit all different tastes. Aloha is definitely worth a gander, an absolute great addition to your list this should be of all the places to go for a spot of beverage sipping.

Certainly the only Hawaiian bar I can remember hearing of, Aloha fills the space left by Bar Fresa. Clearly revelling in its role as Liverpool’s only Tiki bar, the place has gone all-out on the décor, presenting us with an embellished view of what we all really want island paradise to be like. Bamboo cane, grass skirts, painted murals of blue oceans and flowery lei abound in this underground Polynesia. The vibrant music and friendly staff make this a fun little spot to try in the centre of town. After pouring my precious spirits, the barman accidentally left it alone for UPWARDSOFTWENTYSECONDS! When I told him he hadn’t given me my drink yet he was unbelievably apologetic and let me have it for free. Someone give that man a damn Nobel Prize. (I would like to point out to my Unilocal employers and their affiliates that this does not count as me accepting a free drink in exchange for a good review as I wasn’t working on here when this incident occurred and I’m not corrupt.)
