Ann Summers used to be situated on Whitechapel but moved to the Liverpool ONE development. This alone shows just how acceptable and mainstream Ann Summers has become. It has made it OK for girls and boys to go and buy something a bit naughty without having to go in a seedy back street sex shop.
But Ann Summers isn’t just about sex toys. Yes, they do have a lot of them, in various shapes and sizes, but they have a lot more besides. They have an excellent range of lingerie which is of a good quality and is available in a wide range of sizes. They also have a good range of fancy dress outfits suitable for wearing in public or in private. I love the cheerleader and army girl outfits but I wouldn’t have the bottle to wear them.
I’ve bought presents here for friends a couple of times and they have been only too happy to show me their range of wrapping paper and wrap the present for me at no extra charge.
The staff are very helpful. They are happy to leave you to browse at your leisure but will also offer advice if required. They often suggest extra items to go with your purchases but they don’t put any pressure on you. They make the whole experience comfortable and they do make you feel valued as a customer.

All be it a little intimidating as the shop always seems to be crammed with women and due to the wealth of women’s underwear, one can’t help but feel like a bit of a pervert when you go inside.
They have dildos in all shapes and sizes, vibrating cock rings, different types of condoms and other novelty items such as sex playing cards and sex dice and sex board games. They even have copies of the Karma Sutra.
Everything inside the shop id overpriced and could be bought online for half the price if you search properly! But it’s worth a look if you and your partner are up for something different and want to spice up your sex life! Or if you just want a whopper of a dildo!

Ann Summers is not an easy place for a man to try and review but nonetheless I will attempt to do my best here.
I would be lying if I said that these kind of stores are not a bit intimidating for most of the male population as the female staff seem to glare at you as though you are some sort of criminal if you dare to venture inside. This place however was a real change with friendly staff that were very polite and overall extremely helpful. Liverpool One as a whole seems to pride itself on a great level of customer service and the same can be said of this establishment.
The store itself was well kept and seemed to be run with the utmost sense of professionalism.
On the whole a pat on the back is required for the excellent staff.

There is that sense of awkwardness being a male, as I walked into Ann Summers alone. It is unsurprisingly more for women as they sell almost every type of lingerie you can imagine and in every style and colour you can imagine. If you like, it’s your specialist undergarment shop and raunchy in nature. As I walked to the back of the shop, products get x-​rated. Ann Summers was not just a lingerie shop (as I previously thought). They have certainly tried to seduce shoppers with their extensive range of provocative products.
For women who want to spoil themselves with underwear, whether or not it’s a «dress to impress» or if you’re a guy who wants to treat your other half with a saucy gift, then Ann Summers is a top choice, but is pricey. At the end of the day, I guess it depends on how much you’re prepared to spend.
