I think Armani is not something for everyone especially with regard its high street boutique clothing ranges. Far from the ground breaking designs in couture that made the brand famous back in the 1980s, Armani Exchange is a bit brash and will often feature garments with the AX or Armani logos plastered across the chest or arse of the items — something that appeals to the scalls around here.
However if you look there are some things here that show Armani’s more understated roots and simple plain t shirts, polo shirts and jeans can be found if you prefer to spend that bit extra on something classy and well made.

Staying on a designer fashion tip, this branch of Armani Exchange stocks a solid selection of contemporary clothes, shoes and accessories by the Italian designer. Spread over two floors, it’s got an intimate feel, decent dressing rooms and friendly staff. There’s a stylish selection of suits, shirts, shorts, jumpers and jackets for men and an equally varied selection of smart and casual dresses, blouses, tunic tops, jeans, trousers and coats for women.
With summer literally around the corner, they also have some killer cocktail dresses and party frocks in a myriad of colours. My tip for the ladies however, is their £99 cropped satin jumpsuit. If you have the brass and the body, it’s a definite eye-​turner!

You know exactly what you are getting with Armani. Contemporary cool casual with a hefty price tag. Although I must admit in the UK over the last 5 years or so it really has gone a bit chavy, much like Prada.
However that’s not to say that there still isn’t something to suit the average person’s un chavy nature. I am a big fan of the different colourful summer range of t-​shirts without the cringe worthy brand printed logo. I like a minimalistic understated casual approach to design. There is plenty on offer here.
Needless to say however that the quality of clothing and all else that the shop offers is top of the line. I am sure you will check it out anyway if you are ever in the Met quarter.
