Brooklyn Mixer

I went into Brooklyn Mixer last Saturday as the first port of call of a girlie night out that my friend and I have been planning for a while mainly because the last time I’d been there (which was a fair while ago) the music and atmosphere had been so good. Although the music was great, this time round the atmosphere sadly was a wee bit lacking in my opinion. It was pretty packed and quite a lot of the people in there were pretty worse for wear considering it was only about 9.30! I must admit we only stayed for one drink (I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the wine was though!)
However, my previous experiences of the place were so good that I will definitely be going again to give it another chance — just maybe not Saturday night at 9.30pm ;-)

The Brooklyn Mixer was one of our many quick stop offs over our weekend in Liverpool — we popped in before our table was ready at Nolita Cantina on a Saturday night.
Inside you’ll find large leather sofas, wooden floors, bare brick, a chalkboard menu, and plenty of neon signs. We entered at around 8pm and it was fairly empty, but soon filled up over the next 30 – 40 minutes. I told my boyfriend to surprise me with a cocktail and he handed over a Fat Lip; a concoction of tequila (which, by the way, is just everywhere at the moment) and citrus, it went down a treat, but I still got that alcohol kick that reminds you to slow down! They seem to stock a lot of beer, mainly in bottles, with ales and Brewdog on offer.
I’m just sad we couldn’t stay for longer as I could 100% imagine spending my entire evening here — and working my way through that cocktail list.

The Brooklyn Mixer is a new bar opened on Seel Street an area I often venture for the night life. It has a DJ set often playing house music with the fridges stocked with world beers. It is quite a cool looking bar but unfortunately during my two visits there I had found the staff to be extremely woeful. The staff really look like they cannot be bothered!! A good bar always has great bar staff who add to the vibe of a place. Not the case with this bar.
