This is the only coffee shop in the Brunswick Business Park, which is home to numerous businesses, including a large Virgin Media centre, the British Red Cross, and the Merseyside Police Training Centre. The café, therefore, does a brisk business based on its lack of competition alone! The café is housed in the old dock building and has reproduced some of the original features with exposed brick walls and large windows on the first floor. They do a range of sandwiches, paninis, salads and soups, lovely carrot cake, choc fudge cake, and flapjacks and muffins, and also have a good value breakfast range of muffins that re only 99p. They have a large selection of coffees, posh cold drinks, and even sell a small selection of wine and beerjust remember there’s lot of police about if you’re driving! The food is freshly prepared as you wait and is of a good quality, however I personally feel that £3.50 plus for a panini or £2.50 ish for a sandwich is overpriced, given the ‘meal deal’s’ avialable in so many other retails outlets nowadays. Add on a packet of crisps or a cake, and a coffee, and your lunch tops the £7 markfine for an occasional treat, but not the place to visit every day.
