New Look is situated in Liverpool ONE in the city centre. It is right next to the bus station and is always pretty busy. They sell a wide range of clothes for men and women including jeans, t-shirts, dresses, skirts, lingerie, coats, suits and much more. They also sell shoes, bags, scarves and jewellery. The store is large but it is bright and airy. They always have chart music playing all the time and you find yourself singing along as you browse the shop. Even though the store is large it is still pretty cramped. The shop floor is as full as it can get, with rails close to each other and placed high up the walls. When it is busy the shop can get a bit messy but that is to be expected. The clothing is quite inexpensive and the clothes are of a reasonable quality. They have a good range of sizes, there is even a separate plus size section. They also have a good range of styles to suit everyone. The fitting rooms have many separate rooms but they are quite small and can get very hot when they are busy. Overall this is a great shop.

This New Look is an absolute labyrinth of fashion trends. Upon entry, to your left you have a mix of going-out clothes, further back you have workwear, then a huge array of casual pieces and jackets. Upstairs you can find shoes, bags, concessions, tall wear, jewellery and much more. With such an extensive range of heels on offer, and what feels like a constant sale, you can always bag a bargain pair of shoes. I often find more comfortable heels from here, you’ve just got to wade past the aisles of six inch killers first. Service is always very efficient, and students can get 10% discount. The store smells a little plastic-y and doesn’t have that vintage vibe, but I guess if you want some on-trend pieces then New Look is the place to go. P.S Yes, there is a men’s wear section, but that didn’t appeal to me too much, so you’ll have to go check that one out!

Are you after a new look? Then plastic surgery would seem like the route. After some reasonably priced fashion? Then New Look would seem like the perfect place to visit. The shop seems to have gone from high street pariah to go-to destination for picking up cheapo chic — according to a magazine on the floor of my girlfriend’s lounge Beyonce was recently spotted wearing a £20 top from the store’s Idol range(yes it is my girlfriend’s magazine — how dare you imply any differently!) This Liverpool ONE branch is absolutely mammoth, with three floors of bargain fashion. Inevitably with such a size of store things can get a little untidy but things are generally looked after well and the advantage of such gargantuan amounts of floor space is the availability — a staggering array of stylish stuff in all sizes. Women’s wear wise New Look seems to be on top of the whole thing, offering a range of subdued styles(jeans, t-shirts, blazers) and more outré offerings(studded biker jackets, glittery dresses, flowery leggings). The shoes seem to be the main draw here though with pretty much all my female friends owning at least one pair of party heels from the shop’s range. The menswear section seems a little stunted though, with only a handful of really decent items amongst the fluorescent baseball neck tees and zippy pocketed jeans.

Over the last 18 months, New Look seem to have raised their game considerably. Once known for selling cheap, fast fashion, they now seem keen to give high street brands like Top Shop and Diesel a run for their money with bigger stores, guest designers and seasonal collections that are both on trend and better quality. This new flagship store in Liverpool ONE is a great example of how much they’ve changed as it features a huge range of women and menswear including capsule ranges like Idol, Boutique Brands and Gold by Giles Deacon. It also has areas devoted to childrenswear, footwear, lingerie, maternity wear and Tall and Plus Size ladies(Inspire). Admittedly, a lot of the womenswear isn’t to my personal taste but it’s not hard to see how popular the store is. I went in mid-week and on a weekend and both times I was nearly knocked over by teenagers and students heading for the dressing rooms laden down with clothes!
