WHATISTHATNOISE?! Does anybody know what that horrible horrible screaming sound is? The coffee machine or the dish washer or, I don’t know, but something is not happy. It’s dreadful, snuggling into a nice tub chair with a steaming cuppa chatting to you friend then it’s off, SCREEEECHING for a few seconds, you’ve just got back into your seat wiped the slops of tea from your jeans and picked your muffin up off the floor and it’s off again! I’ve been to this café a few times(I always seem to forget about that noise until I’ve ordered) because it’s open quite late and it’s handy for the train station, however, the service is variable; staff can often be quite rude, the seating area was once really appealling, with bright sofas and lots of tables and chairs. While it is still ostensibly attractive, up close i. e when you’re eating it looks a little worn and occassionally even grotty. In the past I have put this down to the fact it is late in the day and due to be cleaned, however unkept appears to be the norm. The range of food and drink on offer is pretty standard to be honest.

Nosh n Coffee is an open plan coffee shop based on the first floor of Clayton Square Shopping Centre. They sell the usual drinks you would expect a coffee shop to have; it is quite similar to Costa Coffee because they sell tempting cakes and cold drinks as well. If you’re also looking for a quick lunch, then they have a selection of cold sandwiches and wraps all at reasonable prices. There is a fine seating area consisting of orange chairs and sofas with tables to seat several people. Nothing fancy about it. I adore the location of this café, as plenty of natural light is shed through the towering glass panels of Clayton Square; this gives it a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. There is nothing better than on a sultry day, to chill out with a frothy milkshake(for just £2.20) as you watch the busy world go by!
