I’ve always liked this place bt haven’t visited for a while. Popped in this week and find they now do a serve yourself salad bar where you can choose which salads and how much of each you have. The salads were lovely as well with some new varieties. Had a nice bit of gluten free cake to follow with a great cup of coffee and we sat outside in the sunshine. Not cheap but OK for what you get. Service is always fast and friendly.

I agree with the previous review to a certain extent; Piazza Café Bar is not a glamorous restaurant setting and does not offers neither the atmosphere nor the fare of the restaurnas nearby on Hope Street, however this was not the intention of the venue; Piazza is a café and I think it ticks all the boxes of café inventory! It’s a clean contemporary space with plenty of indoor seating plus an outdoor area in a wonderful position beneath the cathedral. The café is busy from early morning until late afternoon right through the week and while previous review describes the customers as tourists I don’t see this as a disadvantage as there is always a great atmosphere inside. The standard of the food offered is above café average with a hot plate as well as cold snacks. With regard to prices, I don’t think the location is abused, prices are not inexpensive but they are not extortionate. A really nice café; quick and pleasant service, and it’s not full of «God-botherers» either which was a concern of some prospective customers!
