I have been to a lot of takeaways over the years but recently I went to Mr Chips Pizza’Pizza Pronto’ with my friends to spend some quality time. Unlike other takeaways in town I have been to, this was fairly cheaper. The most expensive meal only costs just £8. The place was filled with multiple tables to sit in and eat, fairly clean, brightly lit, and the food smelt nice as you walk in, that it made me want to purchase food from there. I purchased 10in(inch) garlic bread with cheese and mushrooms(looked like pizza) for £4. For the price that I paid for the meal, the food was made with better quality than I expected it to be and it was freshly cooked, as well as it tasting delicious. Which was a good thing(obviously) because normally I have lower expectations about takeaway restaurants. Although the place was not completely perfect as I was making it seem. The food that I ordered took approximately 10 minutes to arrive. Also in the afternoon the place gets crowded so at times there would be lack of to no space to sit inside and eat. Overall, the restaurant makes some quality food for the price you pay for. So this place is possibly good enough to satisfy you needs when it comes to tasty, warm food to eat when you are out an about(in my opinion).

Pizza Pronto is located next door to Mr Chips along Bold Street. If you like, this little take-out/eat-in parlour is a mix of pizzeria and southern fried chicken, plus burgers and chips who wouldn’t forget. Their meal deals as displayed on the windows just scream out how reasonably priced their food is. They also offer Halal food and more middle eastern tastes such as Falafels. Food in general can be a bit on the greasy side but service is usually efficient. If you’re looking for a quick feast, then Pizza Pronto is a more than satisfactory choice. Great for kids and big kids alike!

Situated just off concert square, pizza pronto is perfectly placed to grab a pizza before stumbling into a waiting taxi. The pizza itself is really quite good considering the price. Its not as good as a dominoes or restaurant pizza, but the speed with which it is served and its low price more than makes up for it. Pizza Pronto is one of those rare fast food outlets near concert square where it is acceptable to venture during the hours of daylight. The pizza is good enough that it can be eaten whilst sober and without anyone batting an eyelid! Watch out though, the pizza is served piping hot! As I found out to peril one night when I dropped the first piece onto the floor immediately after trying to handle it!

To say this is this is the second best place to get a slice of pizza in Liverpool is probably not too much of a compliment given there are only two places, that I can think of anyway, that sell pizza slices. This doesn’t mean that it’s not good here(it really is) just that American Pizza Slice is very, very good. What works in Pizza Pronto’s favour is the price of the slice — just £1.50 a pop. A must if you need a snack on the move around these here parts. Of a night time it all changes gear a bit and Pizza Pronto turns kebab shop, it’s still good but like any kebab shop the food is a little sloppily done and the pizza isn’t nearly as good, even though you end up getting far more of it. I don’t want loads of pizza though, just a little bit of good pizza. That’s my drunken lament as I wheel my way unsteadily down towards the taxi rank at the bottom of Bold Street hill.

I used to live over the road from this place, and when I realised at 1am I hadn’t had any dinner, I could run over in my pjs and get a burger or, if particularly hungry, a pizza, and they didn’t even raise an eyebrow. Of course, people walking around in their pyjamas is a natural occurrence in Liverpool — it was probably stranger because I didn’t have curlers in! Anyway, always on hand to provide a quick snack to those in need, Pizza Pronto does exactly what it says on the tin — gives you food fast. After the disappointment of missing out on the free BBQ at Peacock, for example, I was happily munching on a chicken burger within 10 minutes, and that includes walking between the two. And don’t worry about undercooked food — I eat there and there’s nothing wrong with me…
