does it really matter about the quiggins name ! It should just be what it is, a great place to find quirky, cool, vintage, goth, eclectic stuff. So quiggins or grand central, call it what u like, just go there and enjoy …

Quiggins did not«relocate» to Renshaw Street, Grand Central is a completely different company, they just happen to use the«QUIGGINS» name. A few of the tenants from Quiggins did move there but the original Quiggins founder moved to Aigbuth«QUIGGINSATTIQUE» see and read the story of QUIGGINS history.

Quiggins was my teenage stomping ground & where I developed my love of all things vintage, unusual & unique. The spiral staircase(in the old School Lane location) was indeed the stairway of dreams leading to an array of varied and delicious shops packed with treasures to be discovered. I still have a vintage jacket I bought in Quiggins when I was 14 — 20 years ago! It has never gone out of fashion & still fits me too /(*_~)\ Saturday afternoons were made for rummaging for treasures amid the patchouli haze that permeated all floors of this shopping extravaganza!

This venue was Methodist Central Hall home to Methodism in the Liverpool district(The methodist equivilent of a cathedral) Life long Methodists are advised to give this a miss I am afraid you may be upset by the new use this great building has now taken on. New world shops, Occult, Parifinalia, Goth clothing. There os also an Indian restraunt next to a casino.

Quiggins is an eclectic mix of Shops, popular with the Emo/Goth Culture but a great place for anyone who is looking for an unusual or Quirky Gift. It is similiar to Afflecks Palace in Manchester, home to lots of small Independant retailers — some cheap, some expensive but you never fail to find something unusual to buy. A great fan base and huge following, popular with students. Quiggins — Has recently moved from School Lane to a more central position on Renshaw Street(a few minutes from Central Station) this is due to the Re-development of Paradise Street and lots of people objected the move.
