Sarah Alexander is an independent designer clothing company located inside Grand Central on Renshaw Street. It’s so, so hard to find independent clothing companies and reliable seamstresses these days in a world dominated by Ebay, Primark, Asda, etc, so I’m always fascinated to find successful little clothing stores/​seamstresses that are making their way in the world despite the competition.
You’ll find this shop in the upstairs of Grand Central. The busy hum of a sewing machine will welcome you, and the surrounding racks of finished and in-​progress garments will speak for themselves of their maker’s skill and attention to detail.
