Taskers used to be much more of a DIY store than it is now, lately they have become More«high end furniture«and a bit too over priced if you ask me! They still do have a DIY section witch is ok, in my opinion If you are wanting a propper DIY store it would be better to take a trip to Wickes or B&Q

An all-in-one DIY superstore this is either the type of place to inspire you to redesign your home, breathe life into a new house or fill you with dread at the thought of a wasted weekend sorting out the spare room! Taksers is a big superstore that has all sorts of hardware, timber, fixtures and fittings for home DIY but the furniture section and home décor part is surprisingly expensive I thought. And it’s not understated either — some of the items would make Tony Sprano blush! Certainly though, this should be your first stop if you ar situated in the North End of the city and Aintree area.

This is a DIY store and the rest with everything from paint to plants to parlour furniture and a plethora of other stuff along the way most with a WAG touch! Laid out over two large floors mostly DIY on ground floor and furnishings upstairs and plants etc. outside. Staff though not prolific are very helpful in finding your desired sprocket or socket or choosing spud peeler or sofa. And there always room for another scented candle or pine scatter cushion isn’t there? I say try it, it’s a Liverpool family firm in a handy location near to city centre but with easy parking where you can conveniently pick up any or all of the above as well as having key cut on your way home.

This is a great place to come if you have just moved into a new place or if you fancy redecorating. Their range includes eighteen departments of furniture and furnishings for every room in your house and garden plus DIY equipment and tools for all the services. They have a good selection of contemporary and conventional furniture styles. I’ve started saving for a new Parker Knoll chair. Although the business has been around 50 years and has a few stores around Liverpool, its still independently owned. Any queries will probably be answered by John Tasker son of the founder Jack. With their own kitchen designers, paint mixing, timber cutting and delivery services, this is an excellent alternative to soulless big chain shopping.

Taskers DIY is almost like a version of Ikea but not as grand enough if you were to spend a whole day browsing their furniture and garden sections. This branch in Long Lane is a fairly large establishment compared to the branch in Wavertree. They sell a massive variety of products for your home, no matter how big or small a job you have. Staff will be there to help choose or find your items and give you a price estimate for that new bathroom suite or laminate flooring. Prices in general for DIY essentials are not too bad, obviously depending on the brand and type of item. Most of the time, you will find what you are looking for and not have to run around in circles since they have well displayed signs for each category. Taskers is certainly a decent store and up there with the best; it sells quality products at competitive prices therefore it is always worth a gander.

Only 4 stars even though this store in wavertree is an excellent store it lacks a place to sit for a drink, a small café would be great the store it’s self is big spacious and well layed out has disabled facilities and you can buy almost anything there, again lack of staff if you need to know anything.

An excellent top quality store which sells just about everything you will need for DIY jobs/Home Improvement etc. They also sell really stylish and high quality furniture, soft furnishings, homewares and decorative items. You really can get everything under one roof which has lots of items you just cannot find in other stores. There is a large outdoor plants and garden supplies area and a really good café inside which is perfect for taking a quick break from your shopping. Its has a large car park which is free but other than a few infrequent bus routes public transport links aren’t great so its one to visit by car.
