Had a great evening here for one of my mates birthdays. We were gonna go into town after Dinner, but ended up staying there. The food was lovely and delivered really quick considering there were thirteen of us and it was quite busy. The staff were brilliant and had a laugh with us. The drinks prices were even better. Even though it’s a bit out of my way, this is my new local.

The Picturedome in Kensington is part of the nationwide chain of Wetherspoon pubs which pride themselves on being open long hours and serving cheap booze straight from the tap. In an area such as Kensington where financial affluence is at a fairly low ebb a place such as this draws in a big crowd. The thing is that this place does not draw a good drinking environment and there is often drunken trouble to be found here.
The place is dark and feels a bit dingy it is almost as though it was not designed for fun but rather for people to get as drunk as possible. The atmosphere here is therefore a poor one and it borders on volatile at times as drunken people often become rowdy.
The service isn’t great and neither is the food or drink and when you add up all of these factors the result is not a pretty one.
