The front of Wing lee is very shabby looking indeed and the windows above the establishment resemble something of a squat. It was with some trepidation that I decided to purchase my Saturday night takeaway from here but as it was local and convenient I decided to give it a go anyway. This turned out to be a mistake, the food took a lengthy amount of time to arrive and in the five minute walk back to my residence it was already cold. So not wanting to eat a cold meal I decided to warm up my sweet and sour chicken balls in the microwave. This too turned out to be a mistake the food was hard and completely tasteless even the sauce had lost any semblance of flavour by the time I had begun to eat my meal. The only thing with any taste at all was infact the bottle of coke I had decided to purchase with the meal, this was a good idea as it went someway to removing the taste of the poor food. The portions at Wing Lee are adequate enough but when the food tastes terrible this is not a good thing, it is about four pounds fifty for a portion of sweet and sour chicken balls which is a competitive price. I have not returned to Wing Lee since that visit, it may well have improved in that time however the shabby décor has not changed and I would hazard a guess that the food hasn’t either.
