This is a great wee place to come for a walk along the loch. Lots of watersports facilities available and bikes for hire for along the cycle path. It has a nice wee café/gift shop which sells unusual craft items. It also has plenty of picnic tables dotted about for picnics. Further along is the RSPB centre which is interesting for spotting the wildlife around the loch area and also has a lovely country walk area of it’s own.

Great for walking along the side of the loch from the visitor centre; very attractive with the loch on one side and fields full of cows on the other. The visitor centre is large, overlooking the water, and you can buy some gifts there. There are many snacks available in the café — we would wish for a bit more choice; I’m sure if they offered a full menu(including some vegetarian choices) they would get the custom. It always seems to be popular and quite busy(when we’ve gone there anyway).

Lochwinnoch Loch is worth a visit for all the family. For the more adventurous there are watersports and even if you’ve never tried before this loch is an ideal place to start — it is only 3 – 4 feet deep so if you capsize your canoe or come off your windsurf then you should still be able to stand up. It’s a good training facility. Canoes are available to hire as well as cycles if you fancy riding towards Glasgow or west towards Irvine. Or just simply for walking your dog there’s miles of quiet paths to explore. Afterwards try some home-baking in the visitor centre.
