A & C Continental Delicatessen

This shop is a cross between a health food shop and a classics deli. Offering the usual cured, smoked and other partially cooked meats. Large bowls of stuffed & plain olives and some funky looking giant mushroom — I imagine some form of antipasti. I’ll be popping back to try those soon.
You’ll also find bunches of fresh herbs, seasonal vegetable, fruits, fresh bread and stuff that you’d hope to find in an respectable village green groceries.
Lastly, it struck me as the sort of place I would go to, if I was hosting a dinner party and really wanted to impress my guests. I noted black spaghetti and I think a box of polenta. I also got the impression that the shop keeper knew his stuff, and would have been more than happy to get involved in my shopping needs.
Honestly, between this guy, the fish monger, the multiple butchers, I could put on a swell party without even leaving my doorstep. Forget Borough, you’ll find me in Brixton!
