The shop is lovely to look around but I have the same problem as another reviewer. If I’m going to pay the high prices they charge I expect the people behind the tills to be friendly and kind — and basically have the time of day for me. The staff around the centre have generally been fine and helpful but the till staff are just grumpy and horrid. They make it perfectly clear with their tutting noises that they would rather be doing something else than the tedious business of serving annoying customers. I’ve taken to sourcing as many garden items as possible from Amazon. Seriously. The till staff take so much of the pleasure away from shopping here, I’ll go only as a last resort. Just bought a nice shovel on Amazon and ordered some strawberry plants. It is all very well asking people to support their local shops, how about local shops supporting local people? Be nice and I’ll shop there more often.

I live very close to this garden centre and often go by and buy plants. The plants are very good quality and they have a large variety of plants. But customer service is non existent. I am fed up of being ignored by the staff. They are extremely unhelpful and moody. Most of them have a scowl on there faces, they ignore you if you ask a question. Some of the staff are friendly, but it’s only luck if you go there when they are there.

Great Garden Centre. TAG Owners of Marc Bolan’s Rock Shrine in Gipsy Lane, Barnes have been buying their supplies from Adrian Hall since 1999. Of interest to Marc Bolan fans is that his last home 142 Upper Richmond Road West is directly opposite. Both Adrian Hall Garden Centre and Marc’s last home and are in East Sheen however to quote Qype themseves East Sheen is listed as a suburb and not a district as Mortlake. Qype have only listed districts, not suburbs. That is why they are correctly listed as ‘Mortlake’.
