Ahir Lorenzos looks like someone has taken a bar from the beach-front in Bodrum and dropped it next to a main road in Finchley!
Once inside it gets even better with random trinkets and paraphernalia all over the place, people Salsa dancing in the back and the sweet smell of tobacco and molasses floating in from the front terrace.
They have backgammon sets galore and people play cards here and talk in various languages quite loudly, which I like. Apparently it is open late too.
It’s not a high-grade boozer by any stretch of the imagination, but it is worth nipping in for a beer some time and the prices are reasonable — £3.10 for a pint of Budvar on draught :)

Ahir is not just a restaurant– it is also a bar which is still open when the rest of the places in Finchley Central have all closed down– which can be useful.
I have not eaten here but have come for drinks on occasion. It has wood panelling and tacky things on the wall which makes you feel like you are in an old cabin. The front room has tables and the back room has a dance floor. They also have an area out front which now serves shisha.
The one thing to watch about this place is that a lot of single guys come in to pick up. If you are female don’t be surprised if you are dry humped on the dance floor! My girlfriend and her friend experienced this first-hand– unfortunately I did not.
