The food was very delicious and price was very reasonable. Highly recommended if your a fan of Lebanese food.

I’m sorry. Maybe this place is highly rated simply for lack of choices in the area. But I can’t BELIEVE I just spent £20 on 7 chunks of ok chicken(lettuce scraps struggle to fill the rest of the container), meh hummus, and a day-old piece of leathery rubbery pita. You’ve got to be kidding me! And as an American, to think I just spent something like $ 35(which would get you the most fabulous feast for you and two friends at a New York City Lebanese joint), makes me want to cry. Pathetic. But, just as I learned from having a similar horrible overpriced tiny meal at the Thai place nearby, that must just be the Excel area for you.

Loved it! Fabulous shwarma. Loved the tomato and onion salad. Baba ganoush was excellent. They were very busy. I would say there service is great for the amount of business they get. This is a popular restaurant for good reason. If you want fast service go to a fast food restaurant.

Food: Great. No doubt. That is my opinion and the one of the 2 people I ate there with. Service. Definitely not chic. Service is not(well) trained. I tried getting the attention of one of the 4 waitresses when we were the only people in the restaurant, but failed. They couldn’t hear me shout ‘excuse me’, because the music speakers are right over their heads where they stand. However the enthusiasm and friendliness of the service is great. I guess it’s the kind of place to go with friends or on a vacation. One thing to watch: a tip is added on the bill. Something I have not before seen in Europe. I don’t know if one is required to pay the tip, or if it is a suggestion.(In the UK tipping is not expected and rarely done). Ah, one more thing. They are a Lebanese restaurant but they do Pizza too(Yet ONLY for take away).

In ExCel and have limited time to travel into town for proper food, and wanted some nearby ethnic food? This is THE spot for it. Second night here, and had previously gone to another Lebanese restaurant the night before. This is only 0.6 mile away from Aloft and is 5 short minute walk from the ExCel. I ran pass by it the day before and I was quite pleasantly surprised this is NOT inside of the ExCel but rather close to the dock. Took photos of it so that I’d remember to come for the evening meal after the show. At 9:30, the restaurant was not too crowded. Ordered Beirut hummus and Lebanese sausage to start. For mains, we had lamb stew, lamb shank, mixed grill and chicken kabobs, It was a lot of food, and they were very very tasty. The place is average priced for Lebanese food, and the portions are fairly decent. The flavors are really good, especially that it came with chips(for us Americans, it’s fries, but for the little people who grew up with Charlie and Lola and Doctor Who, they know what’s what) for the little people instead of the rice. A very nice gesture. Bread was very fresh. A super satisfying meal. An unexpected treat of that evening: there were fireworks off the dock. While in Britain, someone is celebrating Fourth of July like us. I can assure you this never happens in France over Fourth of July. As happy as it can be.

I visit ExCel a lot but I’ve rarely explored beyond the exhibition centre to the docks. After writing a particularly nasty exam today, I was ravenous and went in search of food. It’s not cheap here but I had a massive vegetarian platter for £10.95 and it was delicious. I’ll definitely bring back my other half next time we take a flight on the Emirates air-line.

Went there With a friend and have to say I will come back. Went there for the first time because it was next to my place and it surprised me. The prices are really affordable with great food. It was about to close but they let us in for a quick meal, but then served us really well. The salads are really fresh and the fish is tasty. The juices are amazing and made out of fresh fruit. I highly recommend this place.

Our company ordered the large selections. They were delicious! Not one complaint! Service was on point, facility was clean and inviting, and all in all it was a delightful place for dinner for 8.

Food was good but service was very poor. Waited around 15 minutes to be asked about our food order. Didn’t get asked about about drinks, had to request it. Waitress and waiter seemed disinterested in us. Specifically requested that my partners food(salad and homos) would come with my main course. This request was ignored and brought along with my starter. We raised this issue with the waiter who once again seemed disinterested. Didn’t even apologise. When the food came it was tasty. We did enjoy it. Then the bill came and there was a mandatory service charge of £5 from a bill of £40. On the bill at the bottom it stated«service charge not included», but the«not» was crossed out. This was unacceptable considering we were unhappy with the service. Perhaps the mandatory service charge attributed to the lack of service and general manners from the staff.

I had lunch here today and it was ok. The fries were pretty good however the chicken shawarma was just ok. I didn’t feel that it was very fresh. It also had way too much Garlic sauce that was extra thick not pleasing at all. The restaurant it’s self was very clean and the service was slow. Overall it was filling for a quick lunch but if I had the option to return I would try something else.

I do like every dishes in this restaurant. It is clean and delicious. Moreover, they do delivery in just 30mins. Don’t miss to try Keba shamya, wrap brown, Sayadiya, Mahshi. It is really as you have the middle east dishes in your plate.

I’ve been meaning to write a review on Reem for ages now, but not got around to it. It’s not the kind of place that sends you seething in search of a keyboard, nor it is a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience. What it is, is good quality food at low(by London standards) prices with good service and friendly staff. It’s situated in the Excel Centre, so you’d expect it to be expensive and snooty, but you’d be wrong. A meal for two is generally cheaper than any pub in our area, and significantly cheaper than similar meals at Hazev on the wharf. You could easily double your spend and get worse food just by walking across the road and eating in the hotel restaurant. My wife and I have been going there fairly regularly for a few months now. We’ve tried a fair section of the menu including the lamb chops, various wraps, the Shwarma meat(with hummus and pita) plate, the mixed grill and the spicy salad(they’re not joking about that by the way — it’s _spicy_). It’s all been good quality, tasty food in reasonable portions. The Turkish coffee goes well with what seems to be the complimentary small pieces of baklawa that have arrived after every meal we’ve had. It’s fun to watch the spoon stand upright and then even more fun to see time and space separate into distinct components after it kicks in. Just don’t try it before bed and you’ll be fine. The kitchen is in plain sight of the dining area, so you can see that most of the main dishes are freshly prepared, and the skewers of meat are pure temptation — they’re not the usual compressed reconstituted meat you find in so many kebab places. The staff are friendly and polite. You won’t get anyone taking your order until you close your menu from what I’ve seen, so as soon as people know what they feel like, steal their menus and hoard them to stop that one person browsing for hours on end. It’s got a bit of a café /diner vibe going, but at the prices, that actually works well. Get in, get fed, get going.

My wife and I ordered the set menu for two. We got hommos, moutabal, tabbouleh, falafel, soujok, batata harra, jawaneh followed by mixed grills and Lebanese sweets. This was £39.95 for both of us. The starters were ok. I liked the hommos and moutabal which went nicely with the pita bread provided. I wasn’t really a fan of the other items. After a while, we got part of the mixed grill which was a plate of small sausages. The taste was ok, but I just didn’t like the texture. It had the feeling of something defrosted from the freezer. It felt like a long wait until the rest of the mixed grill arrived: charcoal grilled cubes of chicken, cubes of lamb and lamb mince. These dishes were actually delicious and a clear highlight of the meal. We got a plate of baklawa at the end, which looked as if they had bought a box of it from the convenience store across the road. Really, it did. The place had a cafeteria feel to it with the tables and chairs all over the place.
