Love this park. Not with standing that it has a pitch and putt, or that it was the first place to broadcast TV wit the BBC, or that it had an ice rink, or that it has a pub on top, or that it holds beer and food events, specialised farmers markets, good runnings paths, is part of running events, as well as international tournaments like the Darts or the Snooker… it has for me one of the best views of London! With it being perched so high you can see all of London. The North’s version of Crystal Palace. It’s a good walk around for a Sunday too. I really like going there to unwind and chill. Summer it is busier of course and that’s when it comes into its own. Lovely. We are lucky in London to have such great green spaces.

Perfect for running with very smooth and scenic paths! There is also lots of open areas to play in or to have a picnic in! There is a garden centre in/near the park as well and it is just amazing!

Haringey’s little piece of grandeur. Actually little is the wrong word, this park is vast! Beyond pretty greens with the best view in North London. Also home to a gorgeous castle stepped in modern history at the top, as well as ducks, deer and other wildlife!

Alexandra Palace/Park is my favourite jogging destination. It’s a nice area walking distance from Muswell Hill, where there are plenty of cafes, shops and even one Odeon Cinema. I suppose you’ve looked at the map and went, uh on, but how do I get here if I don’t drive? Well, it might seem that tube stations are far but they’re actually walking/jogging distance. I’m an East Finchley resident and I frequently run to Ally Pally. That said, it’s also a very nice 30 minute walk from the station, so don’t worry about taking the tube. But more importantly, Alexandra Park has outstanding views. I believe you have to climb up to the South Terrace, right by the Palace but you can see a large chunk of North London and all the tall buildings in central London. It gets a bit busy in the summer but the view is worth it. Autumn, winter and spring are the quiet seasons and they’re great because the area is almost deserted and you can have a peaceful evening watching London go to sleep. And finally, do check out the area around the Palace. Just weeks ago there was a pop up drive in cinema in the car park near by that has now been replaced by a fun faire. There’s also a mediocre skate park and a pond with cheesy swan-shaped boats. So all in all, Alexandra Park is really quite lovely.

Lovely space. There is a nice café in the Grove(close to Muswell Hill entrance), a playground(close to entrance at the end of Dukes Avenue and near to Alexandra Road). On Sunday there is usually a Farmer’s Market(entrance on Muswell Hill and Priory Road). Behind the palace there is also a boating lake and another café. We go there every week and the kids love it!
