Awful and overpriced. Paid about £17 for the worst hamburger I’ve ever had. At that price I expected a good, if not great, burger. Mine was well done and flavorless(waitress didn’t ask me how I wanted it, and I would have ordered medium-rare had she asked). Husband’s meal was mediocre at best. Cosmopolitan was also bad.

Met my daughter and her boyfriend here after work on a busy Friday evening. The service was impeccable — attentive but not overbearing. A great range of menu options for breakfast, lunch, snacks/sharing plates and dinner. The usual thoughtful wine selection, beautifully presented behind the impressive bar. Great range of beers and cocktails too. I had the sea bass nicoise, an interesting variation on an old classic. Just the right portion size, fresh, crisp salad and green beans. We probably hung out there for three or four hours and never felt rushed or hurried along either by other customers or staff. There was a bit of a snafu with the bill and they sorted out smoothly and efficiently. All in all, a terrific experience for a chain and outstanding service for this Brit spoiled on American wait staff who work hard for their tips. Accordingly I tipped pretty well and the guy asked me twice if I was sure. Yes I was sure… always happy to recognize great service. Well played, ABO. Can’t wait to get back. Thank you!

Usual All Bar One feel, but this one suffers from unfortunate acoustics(it doesn’t need to be very busy to sound like a rabble) and chronically bad bar service. Food is decent and table service is better, but I’d avoid — there are better, cheaper bars in the area.

Usual All Bar One as part of the chain, they all have the same look and feel. We came here looking for somewhere quick to eat at lunch time after a seminar in the city. Usually there is the usual pub greasy food, I was pleased to spot a ‘skinny burger’ Ordered this after mis-reading that it didn’t come with skinny fries :(suppose that might defeat the object of the skinny burger which, essentially was a naked burger, i.e. no bun). This was ok and probably what I should have had and not be looking for fries but the burger was joined by a salad which was OK. The waitress was very nice and wanted to make sure that we were served and got all that we were after. Started to get more busy as the lunch time moved on but it did not get overly loud and were able to continue to talk at a reasonable level. Free WiFi available also as per most of the All Bar Ones now.

Tapas were decent, but the service was too slow and we only got our drinks halfway through the meal.

All Bar One ive always liked and found a great place to have a drink at the end of the week after work as every other worker tends to do. Its does get very very busy and loud. The drinks are very pricy but the setting is what makes it worth the price as its very relaxing in there. The staff are ok but i do agree with the above review in the sense that the staff do forget customer service involves being friendly to people on the other side of the bar. Also ladies you have to be very wary of your handbags, never leave them on the floor, you have ehooks under the tables to hang them up as pocket picking does take place, so better be safe than sorry.

In general I’m not a big fan of the All Bar One chain because they tend to be very expensive and the bar staff seem to forget that Customer Service involves being friendly to the people on the other side of the bar. The All Bar One at Moorgate is not that much different, although the staff are definitely more friendly than most I’ve visited. This bar gets stupidly busy and it can be difficult to get a seat, but it’s so big that you’re not usually waiting that long for someone to move on. The big plus about this bar is the fact that they do Moet Rose, which is fantastic and they also have it very reasonably priced — £40 for a bottle(I’ve paid £35 for a bottle at Tesco!).
