Very nice open décor but no WIFI. You clearly see no laptops around although it does have the space to have people on individual tables. More of the type of place to go for food and a chat or with your newspaper. Can’t comment on the food or drinks as I left when I found out there was no wifi. Nevertheless the airy, bright environment makes me wanna go there with friends for coffee or brunch.

Can’t comment on their coffee but I got the cheese and chive sammy, blueberry and almond drink, a cacao ball and the carrot cake for takeaway. Total thumbs up on the first: toasted buttery cheese+ bread is great. Nice blend of the two for the second and very intense cacao flavour for the third. The cake is also a good buy: thick layers, plenty of gooey icing and moist. The service was quite friendly.

I was very excited waiting for the new Allpress to open and having now visited three times I can say with confidence that it’s a terrible disappointment. The service is atrocious. On my first visit they were sold out of most items. Asking what was available resulted in a list of all the items they’d sold out of. Not useful. On my second visit, we placed orders at different times as we arrived at different times. Out of the four orders, only one was completed without having to chase the staff for missing items. It was for a latte and it took roughly 10 mins to arrive at the table outside(they told me not to wait for it inside). My last, and I have to say final visit, the staff, seemingly oblivious to all the fruit flies flying around inside of the food display cabinet, were indifferent to the point of being rude. Ignoring any attempts at light conversation and borderline snobbish. The place itself is beautiful and very well finished. I hope that they sort out these teething problems but I will not be returning to find out.

This new space in Hackney is in a fantastic site. A converted joiners factory which is light and spacious inside with a lovely outdoor space to sit at. Ordered some flat white’s and they were spot on. Lovely brew and artwork.

Well. This place just opened about a month ago and my friend suggested we go there. Dalston is full of all sort of wonderful places for breakfast and coffee so it’s hard to stand out from the crowd. Lets say this place looks more like Dalston of the future and is placed in such an area that it will be a huge success in the future. Right now it’s not super busy but it will be packed like crazy so go there now and enjoy. We always joke about gentrification of Dalston and one of our friends said after visiting Allures Espresso. «This place is so good that I’m worried about future of Dalson» Now. Breakfast and coffee. I had their mixed plate breakfast and an black americano. Both was excellent. Coffee was served as an espresso with a little jug of hot water. Very good blend. When you walk in you see that they have huge coffee sacks of fresh coffee beans and huge roasting machines. They are not just for the show. Breakfast plate was equally well prepared and satisfying. You get a lot for a money so it’s good value for money. Plates are well presents and food tastes great. Tomato’s have taste which means they source them from good suppliers. egg was not over-boiled too which is how it should be. They also give you two different types of break with it which is again very tasty. I’ll certainly be back again as it’s also very close to my place. Some might say their breakfast selection is limited but they do what they do very well and that is what matters. Keep it simple and tasty.

Allpress has come to Dalston! In a beautifully restored building on Dalston lane now sits the allpress roastery and café. It really is lovely, with a selection of tasty food, pastries, sandwiches, cakes and of course, coffee. It’s a bit off the beaten track but this road seems to be transforming slowly and with many people walking past on their way to the tube or train, I’m sure they’ll get their fair share of regulars. The shoreditch branch is still open although reduced in size. They have a couple of outdoor seats and an, as yet, incomplete 1st floor to provide more seating for all you coffee shop based laptop workers.
