Angel Cuts

Worst haircut I’ve ever had. Ran by two lazy guys who take turns hair cutting like its a boring factory job. Really rushed and as I soon discovered he hardly finished the job! As an optimist I’m struggling to find anything good to say about the experience. Learn from my mistake, you’re better off paying a bit more for a decent hair cut elsewhere.

Absolute ripoff. They have a blended crew cut priced in the window charged at £17. My hair is very short and the bald surly guy cutting it spent all of 8 minutes on it and charged me £25. When I pointed out that it was £17 in the window he said angrily ‘haircuts are £25.’ He did a terrible sloppy job, I had to tidy the hair over and around my ears when I got home. Only go here if you don’t care about your hair and have money to burn. I genuinely hope they go out of business.

I’ve used this place about 10 times mainly because of it’s proximity to my house — directly across the street. I’ve been too lazy to look for anywhere else, but no more.
The main guy in here is so arrogant. I left work last week specifically to make my way home from Victoria to Angel to get my hair cut here. They were due to be open until 19:00. I got there at exactly 18:38 — 22 minutes before closing time. The door was open and the salon empty so I walked straight in and said ‘hHi how’s it going’ and started taking off my jacket. The response I got was ‘Sorry, not today mate, am closed’. I asked, ‘but you’re open until 7 no?’ to which he just replied ‘no I’m done, come back in the morning’.
Are you kidding me? If your business says you’re open until 7pm then you stay open until 7pm. A haircut here takes max 6 – 8 minutes anyhow, so you did not even have the excuse of wanting to be out by 7pm. If you’re so arrogant that you don’t want my £21 for your bog standard haircut with minimum effort then I’ll take my custom elsewhere.
There’s a place just up on White Lion St. No frills, £12 and go the exact same job done. With a please and a thank you too.

Nice guy who runs the place, lots of friendly chat. Haircuts are reasonably priced (less than £20) and it is not often you have to wait. Located on essex road near Angel tube this barbers specialises in short haircuts.
