Being a few times to Antepelier restaurant. Large turkish restaurants with nice decoration and the dessert café at the corner. They do the best chicken wings, I just love it. The set meal for 45 people’s is enormous huge with a mixture of chicken and lamb meats. Free of charge to top up your bread salad and Turkish tea. A few handsome Turkish waiting staffs are always friendly to take your orders. It is one of the best Turkish restaurant at my local.

Such delicious food at large portions and great prices. Fantastic veg options. Me: The lentil and tomato soup, smoked aubergine dip dotted with olive oil and the grilled cheese. I swear my last meal could be this dip. SOOOOOOOO delicious rich. The cheese also was lovely. I got a glass of the house white which was fine. For two people, a bill of 36 quid with tons of leftovers is a steal! That being said I am dinking a star for the connected baklava store. The two young women behind the counter tonight were bitchy and acted like serving us was the biggest deal in the world. Delicious baklava options but won’t be back here.

A local taxi driver once led me here when I wanted him to drop me at a Turkish Restaurant. And he was right! Locals queue to eat here on the weekend! Here you get extraordinary good Lahmacun. These Turkish pizzas with minced meat and herbs that you fill with salat– They have two toppings– classic and garlic, it is made on the spot. Take a wrap on the go for approx 2,-, sit in or get a huge box when inviting friends for a dinner or in the park. It’s fun. Sit together and roll yourself :) They are so cheap to!

There are lots to say about the place. They are the best in lahmacun. They do two types of it; one of them has onion in minced meat and the other has garlic which is called Antep style. Kebabs with yoghurt delicious as well. Starters are average as you can find them in almost every Turkish restaurant. I don’t like the soups they serve. No taste at all especially paca soup was the worst I’ve tried. Our last visit we had guests from abroad. They would like to order iskender kebab as well as other kebabs. When we asked the waitress if we can order iskender kebab from their next door«doner restaurant» she said no straight away and told us many customers are asking the same and manager is not allowing them to take orders. and was told to go site in the doner restaurant if we wanted to eat doner. Just before we finished our food we saw the manager serving doner to table just behind us. What a management! Very unprofessional. There is no consistency at all. They might be his relatives or friends but who cares. The place lost it’s reputation. I’m giving 3 stars only for the sake of kunefe and baklava.

This is my first review in Unilocal.I have been benefiting from this app so far and I wantes to give something in return. So as a Turkish I’ll be reviewing Turkish restaurants in London. I went there yesterday with friends. The place is big and everybody in a rush. Each employee is working hard. Nicely decorated –not like cheap Turkish kebab restaurant– and nice atmosphere. We ordered lahmacun which was really delicious, close to ones Antep(origin of Lahmacun). Kebabs were looking and tasting good but I would go for Lahmacun. They were generous with the meat and the way it cooked was nice. I like my lahmacun more chick but its fine. And kunefe is one of the best you can find in London! So go there and eat some Turkish food!

This Turkish restaurant has a lot of seating. The staff were very friendly. Although did ask on numerous occasions if one kebab was going to be enough. It was thanks to the excess salad and bread that came prior to the meal. The chicken kebab was nice, and the food was pretty standard. My orange juice which I have always wanted to order but never have was disappointingly sour. What is one to do. I prefer my own kebab house, but this was reasonable I thought.

On this sort stretch of Green Lanes you are spoilt for choice but only one restaurant is so popular it has been able to expand to take up half of it. The grilled meat is always great but I’d recommend the sea bass and if you’re a vegetarian, the veg platter gets 5 stars. Great value, two mains courses and two glasses of house red came to £30.

If I had reviewed this place a year ago when I first moved to the area it would have got a dazzling 5 stars without a bad word mentioned. However, a year on and I feel the success of Antepliler has gone to the head of some of the staff, unfortunately, and these days I get served with a gruff and sometimes rude service. Having said all that, why do I keep going back? …because it’s bloody brilliant that’s why! If you can ignore how fast they usher you through the meal and the other niggles I mentioned above then you will literally have found yourself dining in the best Turkish North London offers. The food is divine, personally I always go for a meze starter(or vegi plate main to share), a special kebab(the one with yoghurt and aubergine is sublime) and a tea to finish… before rolling out the door having eaten WAY too much. I have tried practically all the dishes on the menu and recommend them all wholeheartedly(apart from maybe the pides — a bit bland for me, but may be to others tastes). Best on Green Lanes, provided it doesn’t get too big for it’s boot.

I visited Antepliler several ttimes while I was coming home from touring the city, and enjoyed all of my meals there. I haven’t had much exposure to Turkish food before, but the menu seemed pretty similar to the Mediterranean restaurants we have in North Carolina. Lamacun seemed like one of the most common orders, and is something I hadn’t seen before. It’s basically a large flat bread with minced meat and spices, baked in a big brick oven. They’re priced very affordably, and a lot of people seemed to be ordering them as drunk-food. I also tried the lamb kebab meal, which was fairly expensive but does come with a large portion of grilled lamb and is easily enough food for two portions. Generally, I think this place has a great setup for take-away food, but the atmosphere is too loud and busy for me to want to eat in. On the other hand, the busy atmosphere proves that the food is good, so it’s as good as a complaint can get. I’d definitely recommend checking Antepliler out if you’re in the area, and maybe even making a trip out here if you’re craving excellent Turkish food.

Fantastic food, fantastic service and to top it off… Fantastic value! ONe of the best places in North London to get traditional turkish cuisine. I often take a 5 mile trip just to buy a lachmachun, and end up eating two or 3 outsdie the restaurant!

This is probably the best Green Lanes mezze café I know(as a vegetarian diner). There’s a great choice of dishes to please meaty of veggie tastes alike, and prices are excellent. My partner and I left absolutely stuffed this evening but paid less than £30 for an evening meal; they lay on so much free bread and salad that you’re sure to leave feeling pleasantly full. Nice atmosphere too, and gets quite crowded from about 8pm onwards.

On a recent visit to Haringay Green Lanes I was all of the sudden feeling slightly peckish. A quick check on the Unilocal App lead me to try out this Turkish restaurant… and I don’t regret it at all! I got seated right away and I really appreciated that I didn’t receive a weird look that it was«just me». I then went on to study the menu and already could feel my peckishness turning into real hunger! A quick consultation with my waiter — what is your favourite dish? — made me order the Beyaz Peynirli Pide(a pide filled with feta cheese, parsley other seasoning). While I was waiting for my meal to arrive, I had the chance to look around the restaurant: it’s very dark inside and it kind of gives you the feeling as if you are in a giant cave — filled with the heat of the hearth-oven and the sound of the dough-slapping. The tables and chairs are relatively low in height and at some point I had some serious flash-backs to my Kindergarten times. Soon my pide arrived, accompanied with a delicious juicy side-salad. To be honest, I am glad the salad came with the pide as it was delicious, yet it would’ve been a little bit boring on its own. In fact, if you’re with a group of people, I recommend you order a pide as a starter, as it is nice to nibble on and then as a main go for a more substantial meal

This place is really as good as it gets! Excellent lahmacun, pide, kofte and kebabs — you will have to try hard to find better in south east Turkey. It is usually very crowded, but you will never need to wait for more than a few minutes until u get a table. Try to not get full with the bread because it is simply amazing! I have never tried their desserts, but I do recommend the place next door for amazing kunefe.

Reviewing this restaurant is a must for me, since this place is becoming with time as a family tradition. We need more than 45 minutes to get to this place and we need to use the tube and the bus to get to there but it’s worth it. And my self I went to Antepliler more than 20 times: D because this place is simply Magical! With £10 you can rule the world in here! the feast starts with Lahmacun(I prefer the one without garlic) the salad comes as a complimentary with this divine(stand alone) masterpiece. And by the way they have some great free salads that keep coming through out the meal. After the Lahmacun fix, you need to rethink, if you still need another lahmacun before starting your real meal, because I swear you are gonna miss the lahmacun like nothing else in life: D just in case, take some take away lahmacun(I know you might thing I’m exaggerating, but that is the true). When it comes to food, I tried a dozen of different dishes; from Yogurt Kebab, to Mixed Grills and they were all so tasty. simple food but great taste. So just read the menu and take anything and I’m sure you’ll love it. I also recommend that you seal your meal by a nice Turkish tea. It just I have to say, the service is not always the best in this restaurant, but let me tell you, the food is something serious, and keep a blind eye on the waiters attitude. So give it a try NOWNOWNOW!

Amongst all the eateries on Green Lanes, Antepliler is the only one which is more restaurant than takeout. It is always busy and noisy, everyone seated at long tables on short chairs, eating piles of lahmacuns. The lahmacun, turkish pizza, is the standout here — two or three people make piles of them at a time in the wood-fired oven at the front of the restaurant. The kebabs are all, without exception, awesome. The specials are superb and a little different to the other places on the road — try the Ali Nazik(with yoghurt), the lamb with shallots and pomegranates and the herbed varieties. The bread is great too — soft, fresh, warm — be careful not to fill up on a basket of it. You can’t book in advance — if you try you’ll be told to come along anyway. They will fit you in. No idea how, as it’s always rammed, but they do. I was once accepted as part of a party of eight on a Saturday night. Bills are cheap, even including beer, the people are friendly and the atmosphere is buzzing.

I needed to find a ‘new’ Turkish restaurant to go steady with following a disappointing meal at Mangal so a friend: 1. Put me on a bus; 2. Made me change buses; 3. Made me watch parks and streets blob by for many tens of minutes; 4. Made me walk a bit; and 5. Then we arrived at Antepliler. And Hallelujah the new grail of Turkish restaurants was here. I am going to do the end first and then go in reverse; £45 for three people and 6 beers. Prior to that pide, a lamb and tomato sauced kebab and a shish. The lamb and tomato kebab was probably one of the best dishes I have ever had.(By deduction) the sauce was made from tomatoes being grilled on an open grill and then roughly chopped. Like a genius Italian passata with Turkish meat all over it. The Turkish bread we had to accompany the meal was some of the best I have had, freshly baked, with crisp edges and a doughy insubstantial inside perfect for mopping up juices and dips. Then the lamachun and humus. The lamachun was exceptional, it had a real sweetness to it. At at £1.30 if you get it to takeaway, probably one of the best deals in London. Next time I cycle rather than do the bus convoy but I am already planning my return.
